Mamafit UK has organised a programme of short, accessible activity tasters throughout the day:
• 11.15am - Mum and Baby Fitness
• 11.40am - Dance Fitness
• 12.05pm - Yoga and Wellbeing
• 12.30pm - Kettlebells and Fitness
• 12.55pm - Dance Fitness
• 1.20pm - Yoga and Wellbeing

Throughout the day there will be family games, sports-day activities, movement challenges and free refreshments, with plenty of opportunities for families to meet, socialise and get involved.

The event is open to pregnant women, mums, dads and families, with babies and children welcome. Everything is completely free, and no previous fitness experience or Mamafit membership is required.

🚨 Appeal for information: theft from Arrowe Park Hospital chapel

We are appealing for help after a tabernacle was stolen from the chapel at Arrowe Park Hospital shortly after 12.50pm on Wednesday 23 September.

The tabernacle is brass, cylindrical and around 45 to 60cm tall, with a dome top and sliding door. It has great religious and spiritual significance to those who use the chapel.

A man reportedly placed it on a wheelchair and pushed it outside towards the football pitches on Arrowe Park Road. He is described as white and of slim build, wearing a grey and black bobble hat, surgical mask, dark coat, jogging bottoms and trainers. He was carrying a black Adidas bag with red text.

The Mayor of Wirral joined NHS teams, patients, carers and community organisations last Thursday to champion safer, more dementia friendly care across Wirral 💙

Councillor Mary Jordan visited World Patient Safety Day events at St Catherine’s Health Centre and Arrowe Park Hospital, where colleagues from Wirral NHS Hospitals - Arrowe Park & Clatterbridge and Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust came together with local organisations to showcase the support available for people living with dementia, their carers and families.

Visitors could find out more about living well with dementia, support available locally and ways to promote good brain health.

The events also gave health and care professionals an opportunity to share expertise and strengthen connections between services as we work towards a more dementia friendly Wirral.

To mark World Patient Safety Day, St Catherine’s Health Centre and Arrowe Park Hospital were also illuminated orange 🧡
