Hi Woodgate Community.

I’m giving you all high 5’s for coming together and responding to our email appeal for volunteers, we now have enough to safely hold tomorrow’s event.

8:50 - First Timers Welcome w/Anne
8:55 - Run Directors Briefing w/Pete
9:00 - parkrun

Please allow enough time down Horsey Hill to get to the start line from the car park and don’t forget it’s your responsibility to finish ahead of our tailwalker (Paul) if you want your parkrun to appear in the results.

Hi Woodgate Community.

This weekend, parkrun will celebrate its one millionth parkrun event, and whilst we can’t guarantee that Woodgate Valley will be credited with it, we’ll only have a chance of it if we can fill the roster to make sure the event can go ahead safely.

Since Mondays appeal, we have added a timekeeper, a barcode scanner and someone to hand out finish tokens, which means we still need another timekeeper and 3 more marshals!

Are you bringing a supporter with you, a bag/coat carrier, your chauffeur? If yes, they could support not just you but the hundreds of runners and walkers taking part…and maybe get a million thank yous too!

Hi Woodgate Community.

Welcome to the Monday evening plea for volunteers! As a special introductory deal to first time volunteers, I’m offering to share my Run Director wages with you (hopefully there’s enough nothing to go around 🤣)

We need;
2no timekeepers
1no finish token hander outer
1no barcode scanner
3no marshals
We need to fill these essential roles for the event to go ahead.

All of the roles are very straightforward and we will provide training and support, so if you can help us this weekend, please comment below or email us at [email protected]
