⭐ NEW SESSIONS! ⭐

We're excited to share that we'll be running some new STAR (Stories, Activities and Rhymes) sessions this autumn! Each session has a different theme, with songs, stories and activities linked to the topic. Themes will include dinosaurs, vehicles, space, colours, numbers, letters, gardens, under the sea and more! See below for dates and times...

👥 WHO? Best for under-5s, but older children are welcome to give them a go

🎫 HOW TO BOOK? No pre-booking required, it'll be first come, first served on the day, with a limited number of tokens available for collection up to 15 minutes before the start time.

📍 WHERE? Children's Library, Lower Ground Floor, The Library of Birmingham

RIP Dolly Parton. More than a global music icon - Dolly loved libraries and was passionate about getting kids reading early - as she knew it gives the best start in life. The Library of Birmingham

We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Dolly Parton.

Dolly was a remarkable champion for children's reading, dedicated to helping more children access books and experience the joy of stories.

She understood the life-changing power of reading and worked tirelessly to ensure more young people had the opportunity to benefit from it.

Dolly's dedication and unwavering belief in the power of books have left a legacy that will be felt for generations to come.

Thank you, Dolly. 🩷 📚

Sing, dance and join in with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra at The Library of Birmingham on Thursday 27th August, 11:30am & 1:30pm!

Come along on a musical adventure down the riverbank! Join presenter Jane Wright and CBSO musicians as we meet Mole, Ratty, Badger and the mischievous Mr Toad in this fun-filled concert.
