We work collaboratively with individuals, families and service commissioners to support people to live within the community, either in a transitional residential service or a supported living service. Midway Care Group's aim is to provide specialised residential and transitional services to individuals with learning disabilities and associated needs in an environment where rights, independence and choice are the focus of that service.

📸 A bit of retail therapy and some sightseeing for Mark and Joshua from Dunkley Street! 🛍️📸

Mark headed off to Merry Hill with staff for a shopping spree, making sure to stop for a well earned lunch along the way 🍔

Joshua was also out shopping but managed to fit in a bit of sightseeing too, stopping to take a look at some of the local historical sites 🙌

Archie from our Forge Mill supported living service is getting ready to roll up his sleeves and raise money for cancer charities!

On Saturday 7th November, Archie will be washing cars for just £5 each, with all money raised going to a fantastic cause.

💚 The Forge Mill team have been busy taking part in some in-house, person centred moving and handling training, delivered by Nicola, our Head of Learning and Development.

One of the benefits of delivering this type of training in house is that sessions can be tailored to the team and the individual needs of the people they support.

The practical session has given the team the chance to develop their skills, practise different techniques and build confidence in supporting people safely and comfortably in their home.

And as you can see, everyone got stuck in! 👏

💚 Celebrating World Mental Health Day at Brewers Meadow!

Our Locality Manager, Zara, arranged for everyone at Brewers Meadow Supported Living to take some time out, get creative and enjoy an afternoon of painting together on Saturday to celebrate World Mental Health Day. 🎨

It was a lovely opportunity for the people we support and our staff to relax, have a chat and share their experiences.

Holly spoke about her own experiences and reflected on just how much she has achieved, before treating everyone to some music on her guitar, which was amazing 🎸

A lovely afternoon, with some brilliant artwork to show for it too!

💚 A fantastic first CQC inspection result for Midway Supported Services Worcestershire!

We’re delighted to announce that Midway Supported Services Worcestershire, which includes our Forge Mill Supported Living service, has achieved an overall Good rating across all five areas following its first Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.

The service was rated Good for being Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led.

Achieving this rating at a first inspection is a significant milestone and reflects the hard work and commitment of our teams in delivering high quality, person centred support.

Congratulations to everyone involved in achieving this result. A fantastic team effort and something we’re incredibly proud to celebrate! 💚👏
