মহানবী হজরত মুহাম্মদ (সা.)-এর শুভাগমন মানবসভ্যতার ইতিহাসে এক অনন্য ও মহিমান্বিত ঘটনা। তাঁর আবির্ভাব মানুষের জন্য সত্য ও আলোর এক নতুন দিগন্ত উন্মোচন করেছিল। তিনি মানুষকে তাওহিদের দিকে আহ্বান করার পাশাপাশি সত্য, ন্যায়, সাম্য, ভ্রাতৃত্ব, মানবিকতা ও শান্তির শিক্ষা দিয়েছেন। তাঁর পবিত্র জীবন ও কর্ম সমগ্র মানবজাতির জন্য চিরন্তন পথনির্দেশ ও অনুসরণীয় আদর্শ হয়ে আছে।

পবিত্র ঈদে মিলাদুন্নবী (সা.) উপলক্ষে আমি বাংলাদেশের সর্বস্তরের ধর্মপ্রাণ মুসলমানসহ বিশ্বের সমগ্র মুসলিম উম্মাহকে আন্তরিক মোবারকবাদ ও শুভেচ্ছা জানাই। মহান আল্লাহ রাব্বুল আলামিনের দরবারে অশেষ শুকরিয়া আদায় করছি, যিনি মানবজাতির হেদায়াত ও কল্যাণের জন্য সর্বশেষ নবী ও রাসূল, রহমাতুল্লিল আলামিন হজরত মুহাম্মদ (সা.)-কে পৃথিবীতে প্রেরণ করেছেন। তাঁর প্রতি অগণিত দরুদ ও সালাম বর্ষিত হোক।

পবিত্র কুরআনে মহান আল্লাহ তায়ালা ইরশাদ করেছেন, "নিশ্চয়ই তোমাদের জন্য আল্লাহর রাসূলের মধ্যে রয়েছে উত্তম আদর্শ” (সূরা আল-আহযাব, আয়াত: ২১)। মহানবী (সা.)-এর জীবন ছিল পবিত্র কুরআনের শিক্ষার বাস্তব ও জীবন্ত প্রতিফলন। সত্যবাদিতা, আমানতদারি, ন্যায়বিচার, ক্ষমাশীলতা, সহনশীলতা, দয়া ও পরোপকারের অনন্য দৃষ্টান্ত তিনি স্থাপন করেছেন। তাঁর জীবনাচরণে আমরা যেমন আল্লাহর প্রতি গভীর আনুগত্যের শিক্ষা পাই, তেমনি মানুষের প্রতি ভালোবাসা, দায়িত্ববোধ ও মহানুভবতার অপূর্ব প্রকাশ দেখতে পাই।

মহানবী (সা.) জাতি, বর্ণ, গোত্র, ভাষা ও সামাজিক অবস্থানের বিভেদ অতিক্রম করে মানুষের মর্যাদা ও অধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠায় জোর দিয়েছেন। তিনি এতিম, দরিদ্র, অসহায় ও বঞ্চিত মানুষের প্রতি দায়িত্বশীল ও সহমর্মী হওয়ার শিক্ষা দিয়েছেন। পরিবার, প্রতিবেশী, নারী, শিশু এবং সমাজের দুর্বল ও প্রান্তিক মানুষের অধিকার রক্ষার ওপর তিনি বিশেষ গুরুত্বারোপ করেছেন। তাঁর শিক্ষা মানুষে মানুষে বিভেদ নয়, বরং ভ্রাতৃত্ব, সম্প্রীতি ও পারস্পরিক দায়িত্ববোধের বন্ধনকে সুদৃঢ় করে।

বর্তমান বিশ্ব নানা সংকট ও চ্যালেঞ্জের মধ্য দিয়ে অতিক্রম করছে। যুদ্ধ, সংঘাত, হিংসা, বৈষম্য, অসহিষ্ণুতা ও নৈতিক অবক্ষয় মানুষের শান্তি, নিরাপত্তা ও স্বাভাবিক জীবনকে ব্যাহত করছে। এমন এক সময়ে মহানবী (সা.)-এর শান্তি, ন্যায়, সহমর্মিতা, ক্ষমা ও মানবিকতার শিক্ষা অত্যন্ত প্রাসঙ্গিক। তাঁর জীবনাদর্শ অনুসরণ করে ব্যক্তি, পরিবার, সমাজ ও রাষ্ট্রীয় জীবনে ন্যায়, দায়িত্ববোধ ও মানবিক মূল্যবোধ প্রতিষ্ঠার মাধ্যমে একটি শান্তিপূর্ণ ও কল্যাণমুখী সমাজ গড়ে তোলা সম্ভব।

আমাদের তরুণ প্রজন্মই দেশের ভবিষ্যৎ। তাদের মাদক, সন্ত্রাস, উগ্রতা ও অপরাধের পথ থেকে দূরে রেখে জ্ঞান, সৃজনশীলতা, নৈতিকতা, মানবিকতা ও দেশপ্রেমের চেতনায় গড়ে তুলতে মহানবী (সা.)-এর জীবন ও আদর্শ হতে পারে এক অনন্য প্রেরণার উৎস। তাঁর আদর্শ তরুণদের সত্য ও ন্যায়ের পথে অবিচল থাকতে, অন্যের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাশীল হতে এবং সমাজ ও দেশের প্রতি দায়িত্বশীল ভূমিকা পালনে উদ্বুদ্ধ করতে পারে।

মহানবী (সা.)-এর শিক্ষা শুধু মুসলমানদের ধর্মীয় ও আধ্যাত্মিক জীবনের জন্য নয়, মানবিক ও নৈতিক মূল্যবোধের বিকাশের ক্ষেত্রেও গভীর তাৎপর্য বহন করে। তাঁর আদর্শকে আমাদের ব্যক্তিজীবন, পারিবারিক জীবন ও সামাজিক আচরণে ধারণ করতে হবে। পারস্পরিক শ্রদ্ধা, সহমর্মিতা, সহনশীলতা ও ন্যায়বোধকে শক্তিশালী করার মধ্য দিয়েই আমরা একটি শান্তিপূর্ণ, ন্যায়ভিত্তিক ও মানবিক বাংলাদেশ গড়ে তুলতে পারি।

মহান আল্লাহ তায়ালা আমাদের প্রিয় নবী হজরত মুহাম্মদ (সা.)-এর সুমহান জীবনাদর্শ ও সুন্নাহ অনুসরণ করার তাওফিক দান করুন। তাঁর শিক্ষা ও আদর্শ আমাদের ব্যক্তি ও সমাজজীবনে সত্য, ন্যায়, সাম্য, ভ্রাতৃত্ব ও মানবিকতার চেতনাকে আরও সুদৃঢ় করুক। বাংলাদেশসহ সমগ্র বিশ্বে শান্তি, ন্যায়, সাম্য, সমৃদ্ধি ও মানবিকতা প্রতিষ্ঠিত হোক-এই পবিত্র দিনে এটাই আমার আন্তরিক প্রার্থনা।

পবিত্র ঈদে মিলাদুন্নবী (সা.) উপলক্ষে দেশবাসীসহ সমগ্র মুসলিম উম্মাহর প্রতি রইল আন্তরিক মোবারকবাদ ও শুভেচ্ছা।

On 16 August 2026, the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Birmingham successfully conducted a Consular Outreach Surgery in Cardiff. Led by Assistant High Commissioner Mr. Sujan Debnath, the consular team provided essential consular services directly to members of the Bangladeshi community living in Cardiff and surrounding areas. This initiative reflects the Government of Bangladesh’s continued commitment to bring consular services to the doorsteps of expatriate Bangladeshi nationals. A heartfelt thank you to the community leadership and |Bangladesh Association in Cardiff for their invaluable support in making this outreach program a success.

Amber Extreme Heat Warning Issued ⚠️🌡️

The Met Office has issued an Amber Extreme Heat warning for Thursday, August 13, with temperatures expected to peak at around 37°C in parts of the Midlands.

As the heat intensifies, the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Birmingham, advises all community members to take proactive steps to stay safe. Extreme heat can pose serious health risks, including heat exhaustion and heatstroke.

Stay Safe & Follow Official Advice:

- Seek Shade: Avoid the sun during the hottest parts of the day and take regular breaks if you are outdoors.

- Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day.

- Protect Yourself: Wear sunscreen and stay in cooler areas whenever possible.

- Look Out for Others: Keep an eye on those who may be more vulnerable to the effects of extreme heat, including the elderly and those with underlying health conditions.

Be aware that the heat may also cause potential travel disruption or impact local services.

Today, Acting High Commissioner Dr M Nazrul Islam held a meeting with Mr Sardul Singh Marwa MBE, Mayor of Solihull Council, at the Mayor’s Parlour, Council House.

The Acting High Commissioner congratulated Mayor Marwa on his recent election and, referring to the deep-rooted historic ties between the two peoples, expressed his desire to consolidate them further.

The discussion included, inter alia, the contribution of the vibrant British-Bangladeshi diaspora to Birmingham’s civic, economic, and cultural life, cooperation in the academic domain, scholarships, and greater participation of Bangladeshi students in Birmingham’s universities.

They also explored avenues for expanding trade and investment cooperation between Bangladesh and businesses in the West Midlands.

The Mayor fondly recalled his visit to Bangladesh in 1985. The Acting High Commissioner invited him to visit Bangladesh again and witness the spectacular development strides and good governance under the new democratic government led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
