"Every pint of milk makes a huge difference and we couldn't do it without the kindness and generosity of our donors, so thank you".

A whopping 1,900 pints of breast milk have been donated to poorly babies in the West Midlands and Wales in the past year – thanks to our Human Milk Bank Service.

The milk is used on neonatal units for sick and premature babies, as some new mums are unable to produce their own or enough due to illness.

Huge congratulations to Jordan and his brother Cian, who have just completed 33 marathons in 33 days to raise awareness of Familiar Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) 💜

After sadly losing his mum to the condition, Jordan made the decision to get tested by the Genetics Team at our Women’s Hospital and along with his younger brother who also tested positive for the rare genetic condition, they've been determined to raise awareness for the condition and remain positive.

A huge well done to the FTD brothers for all they've done to raise awareness and inspire others 👏

Meet sweet Dolce, who was born in June last year 💜

Mum Demi was cared for under our Perinatal team after she'd previously suffered with postnatal depression.

She said: "The hospital was great with us. The Perinatal Team made my journey great, from showing me around the labour ward, helping with my mediation and overall just giving me great care.

"I would like to say without that support I really believe I could of had another round of postnatal depression however I am fit and well and thriving.

"A massive thank you to your team who work with women who suffer postnatal depression."

Healthcare professionals make a profound impact on the lives of those they care for - and in Mum Jo's case, she even named her daughter after her doctor 💝

Here is Kilby celebrating her 21st Birthday - her life was saved as a baby by our Honourary Consultant Professor Mark Kilby.

Her mum, Jo, suffered from a serious and complex condition called twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome when she was pregnant. Sadly, one of her twins, Kelsey, passed away, but under Professor Kilby’s expert care, a specialist in Fetal Medicine, Kilby’s life was saved ❤️

We want to wish Kilby a happy 21st birthday!

Meet Samson, who was born in March this year with a form of Spina Bifida called Myelomeningocele and Hydrocephalus.

Myelomeningocele is a condition where the backbone and spinal canal do not close properly and requires an operation.

Just 19 hours after Samson was welcomed at our Women's Hospital, he was transferred to our Children's Hospital, where he received two major surgeries to close the gap and have a shunt fitted in his brain.

Despite his difficult start to life, little Samson is now thriving at home with his six older siblings 💜 ❤️
