We held a Sleep Workshop, the final session in a series delivered as part of the mental health programme.

The workshop focused on understanding the impact poor sleep can have on both our body & mind. We explored the importance of healthy sleep habits & created personalised nighttime routines to support better sleep & overall wellbeing 🌙

Topics covered included:
• How lack of sleep affects our mental & physical wellbeing
• Ways to improve & support healthier sleep habits
• Creating individual nighttime plans & routines
• Breathing techniques to help relax ✨

Our amazing ladies have been out in the community sharing an important message for Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

As part of their very first campaign funded by the Barrow Cadbury Trust, they visited a local school to speak with mums about practical tips and tools to support positive mental health and wellbeing.

A fantastic first step towards creating open conversations, raising awareness, and strengthening support within our community. We’re so proud of the impact already being made ✨

A huge thank you to the for funding the Million Hours project for the girls at our youth club 💜

Because of this support, we’ve been able to create safe spaces, fun activities, new experiences and meaningful support for young people in our community. The impact goes far beyond the sessions themselves - it’s helping girls build confidence, friendships and a real sense of belonging.

The testimonials from parents and the girls shared here remind us exactly why this work matters. Hearing families talk about the positive changes they’ve seen in their children means everything to us, and we’re so grateful to be able to provide this support.

Hard at work 👏🏽

As part of our project funded by NPower, women attend 3 sessions each week designed to build confidence, independence and practical life skills.

On Mondays, we deliver our Steps to ESOL class, which supports learners in developing the confidence and communication skills needed to progress into our ESOL classes. Alongside this, the programme also offers digital skills training and financial literacy workshops, helping women gain essential knowledge and skills for everyday life, employment and further learning 📖

✨ Health is Wealth ✨

Today we launched our new Health is Wealth sessions at .al.falaah and what a fantastic start it was! 💚

We began with a focus group where the women openly shared the health topics they’d love to learn more about, including menopause, fibromyalgia, weight loss and exercise. It was such a positive and supportive discussion🌸

The ladies also really enjoyed the gentle exercise session- getting moving and getting those hearts pumping! 💪🏽

These sessions will run every Monday from 10:00-11:30am at Masjid Al Falaah, we’re looking forward to many more beneficial mornings together!

We were delighted to welcome to Saathi House as we continue strengthening our voice and raising awareness about the work we do within the community.

Hasan spent time learning more about our mission, the people we support and how we can better share our impact through social media and communications. Conversations like these are important in helping us reach more people and ensure that the stories of our community are heard.
