Yesterday we enjoyed a lovely mix of activities, including jigsaws, painting our clay leaves and flowers, and a fun game of Lingo 🧩🌿🎨

To finish the day, we enjoyed a fantastic Elvis concert and singalong, with everyone joining in with some classic favourites! 🎤🎶❤️

✨ Benefits: These activities encouraged creativity, fine motor skills, concentration and cognitive stimulation, while Lingo and jigsaws supported problem-solving and communication. Our Elvis singalong promoted social interaction, reminiscence, mood and emotional wellbeing 😊

Yesterday at Castlebank, we took to the skies with an exciting Spitfire virtual reality experience! Residents enjoyed an immersive flight and the opportunity to experience what it was like behind the controls of this iconic aircraft ✈️🇬🇧

Today we enjoyed getting creative with clay, making 🍁 leaves ready for tomorrow’s activity. We also chatted about 🎵 different music genres and enjoyed completing 🧩 jigsaws together.

A lovely relaxing day at Castlebank Care Home, enjoying draughts, dominoes, a jigsaw, knitting and the brief summer sunshine. We also reminisced about past jobs and shared interests in architecture and aerospace, before finishing with a dance! 💃🧩🧶✈️

Another busy day at Castlebank with lots of activities to enjoy! 🎨🧩

Painting and colouring encouraged creativity and self-expression, while the jigsaws helped support concentration, memory and problem-solving skills 🧠✨

Jenga was a great way to finish the day, encouraging hand-eye coordination, patience and social interaction, while creating plenty of smiles and laughter ❤️

A lovely day filled with fun, stimulation and opportunities to socialise! 😊

A mixed bag of activities today at Castlebank! 🎶✨

We paid tribute to the wonderful Dolly Parton by listening to some of her greatest songs and putting our knowledge to the test with a Dolly Parton quiz, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed! 🎤🤠

We’ve also had the VR headsets out, giving our residents the chance to enjoy a fun and interactive experience, followed by a game of word search together. Plenty of smiles, laughter and enjoyment all round! ❤️

🌸🎨 We’ve enjoyed a lovely morning of creativity, reminiscence and shared memories at Castlebank.

Our residents have been getting creative with tree decorating, creating beautiful scenes from cherry blossom trees to peaceful pictures of the sun shining through the trees. 🌳☀️ Activities like these encourage creativity, concentration and fine motor skills, while giving everyone the opportunity to express themselves and enjoy a sense of achievement.

We also enjoyed watching 20 Most Amazing Architectural Structures in the World, which sparked memories and encouraged conversations about working life and past experiences. 🏗️

By popular request, some of our residents also enjoyed watching the wedding of William and Kate. 👑💍 Familiar events like this can bring back happy memories, encourage conversation and provide comfort and enjoyment.

A lovely day filled with creativity, conversation, reminiscence and plenty of smiles. ❤️
