Why not call into Spennymoor Leisure Centre and see what's brewing?

Join us for our friendly Brew, Chat & Connect Coffee Morning from 10am to 12pm, where you can enjoy a free tea or coffee, meet our team, and chat about your interests, goals and future plans.

The Hub will remain open until 2:30pm, so if you can't make the coffee morning, you're still welcome to pop in and find out about local opportunities, activities and support available.

Join us tomorrow at our Volunteering Opportunities Event at Spennymoor Elevate Hub and discover how volunteering could help you develop new skills, boost your confidence, expand your network, and strengthen your CV.

Between 10am and 12pm, you'll have the opportunity to speak with a range of local organisations, learn about available roles, and find a volunteering opportunity that suits your interests and goals.

Afterwards, stay for our Routes Towards Employment session from 12pm to 2pm, where our team can provide tailored support to help you take your next steps towards work.

🌊 Curious about what's living beneath the surface of our local rivers?

Join us this Friday from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at Elevate Hub, Peterlee Leisure Centre, where Wear Rivers Trust will be showcasing their fascinating River-fly Citizen Science Programme.

Get hands-on with a real water sample from Castle Eden Dene and discover how scientists identify and count insect larvae and other aquatic creatures to measure the health of local waterways. 🐛🔍💧

You'll also have the chance to find out about exciting volunteering opportunities and how you can play a role in protecting and improving rivers across our area.

Come along, ask questions, and discover how small creatures can tell us big stories about our environment! 🌿
