The 2026 Chew Valley 10k is done.

The 14th event was brought to you with the generous support of Winford Road Garages and Brock & Houlford Expert Eyecare - our joint main sponsors - we appreciate their support in making this event possible, and roles this morning in helping lead the race out and welcoming runners back.

Thank You to ALL the local businesses and organisations who form part of the family;

- Ann & David Gillard at Westway Farm for kindly offering their land for all the event parking
- A David & Sons who operated water station two - and provided bananas
- Dynisma Motor Simulation Redefined - who brought so many runners
- Ross Elliott who again ran today
- The Pony Chew Valley
- Star House Financial Services
- Chew Valley Snails
- Joanna Tiley Estate Agents
- NFU Mutual Bishop Sutton
- FJ Wookey & Co
- the SPAR - Bishop Sutton
- Anthony Osbourne Surveyors
- Salt & Malt and The Pony Chew Valley
- the Red Lion Public House
- the Community Farm - everyone loves the veg-box prizes
- Photo-Fit - the race images should be available during the week
- Lyons Solicitors
- Valley Marble & Granite
- Bishop Sutton Football Club
- Bishop Sutton Pre-School for so many cakes.

Thank you for the enormous team of volunteers. The many many marshals with their magical boxes, the car park marshals, the army of teenagers, Will Mellersh and the barrier crew, John Robbins our Start and Finish Director, Ivor and his sound system, and to Mike of The Wine Rooms - Chew Magna for returning to the MC duties.

Thank you to the people of Bishop Sutton for donating us the village this morning.

Thank you to the geological processes over hundreds of millions of years that created COLEY HILL.

Thank you to Rufus, student at Chew Valley School, for designing our race t-shirt and medal. Take a bow - you deserve it.

Thank you to everyone we’ve forgotten to mention.

And finally…

Thank you to all of our runners; those from today and those from 2013, and all those in between. It’s lovely to walk around Race HQ in the morning, then running the 10k and seeing so many familiar faces.

---

This event is organised by a small team of volunteers. We have done it for the love of raising all those funds for our beneficiaries over the years - specifically this year for Chew Valley School, Bishop Sutton Primary School, Dorothy House and NiCU Support.

Also for the love of encouraging all of those people who never thought they would ever run a 10k and now have - we know there are so many.

We as a committee are signing off - it’s been fun. We hope the CV10k baton will be taken up by others - maybe not immediately, but at some point in the future.

…and when they do we will be first to sign-up - after Matthew and Andre.

We are open today for early registration. From 2pm until 4pm at Bishop Sutton Village Hall (Race HQ), Wick Road, BS39 5XQ. During this window you can pick up your Race Numbers, and T-Shirt orders.

This could be a great opportunity to take the stress out of Sunday morning, and allow you to turn up on Sunday in your race outfit - ready to go.

Also a chance to ask any questions about the route, the parking on Sunday, or just how bad that HILL really is.

The CV10k starts and ends in the village of Bishop Sutton. It's a lovely little place, with the focus on the little.

When arriving to take part in the race on Sunday we urge you to arrive in good time for the race which starts at 9:30am. We'd suggest you aim to be in place for 8:15am - the main road closes at 9am and we wouldn't want you arriving in a panic.

The people of Bishop Sutton are lovely, and they let us take over the village for one morning a year, but we hope you can join us in treating them well and not blocking their roads and pathways with parked vehicles.

All the parking, like all of it, should be done at Westway Farm, Wick Road, Bishop Sutton, BS39 5XP - You'll find stewards available to direct you as you arrive.

If there should be any questions about anything, please feel free to leave a comment or send a message to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).

The team at dynisma_official have been out this week for some taper runs, as they ready themselves for the CV10k on Sunday.

They bring with them a 50 strong team of employees - and we thank them for their support of our event.

Good luck them all.
