🔐🔥 Fire Alarm Interface & Panic Alarm Installation – IKEA Greenwich

We’ve recently completed the installation and commissioning of fire alarm interface units and panic alarm systems at IKEA Greenwich, enhancing both life safety integration and staff protection across the self-service checkout area.

The works included:
✔ Installation of fire alarm interfaces to all self-serve gates
✔ Programming and configuration to ensure gates release correctly upon fire activation
✔ Full testing of all interfaces to confirm correct operation with the fire alarm system
✔ Installation of new panic alarm systems to selected tills
✔ Testing and verification of panic alarms back to store security

All interface units were clearly labelled, and descriptions were updated within the fire alarm panel to reflect the latest configuration.

A full system download was taken upon completion, with the system left fully operational and in a healthy condition.

All works were carried out by our experienced engineers, ensuring minimal disruption to store operations while delivering a clean and professional finish.

🔐 Till Gate Alarm Installation – IKEA Greenwich

We’ve recently completed the installation and testing of till gate alarm systems at IKEA Greenwich, enhancing security across the self-service checkout area and helping protect against unauthorised access and loss.

The works included:
✔ Installation of till gate alarm systems
✔ Integration and testing of all interfaces linked to fire alarm operation
✔ Discreet installation of door guard units beneath tills
✔ Labelling and programming of all interface devices for clear identification

All systems were fully tested on-site and confirmed to operate correctly upon fire activation, ensuring compliance with site requirements while maintaining a seamless customer experience.

A full panel download was also taken following completion, leaving the system fully operational and in a healthy condition.

Week 1 at IKEA Doncaster and we’re off to a flying start 🚀📹

There’s something about standing 35 metres up on a rooftop, looking over a site the size of IKEA Doncaster, and seeing a project start to take shape.

This week our team has:
• Installed every section of rooftop traywork ready for the full fibre and PTZ system
• Mounted our first 2 metre PTZ pole firmly to the RSJ and sealed it in for the weekend
• Pulled the fibre cable all the way up to the roof – only the internal run left to complete
• Prepped and drilled all PTZ brackets ready for installation

Next week we’ll be pushing ahead with the internal fibre work and continuing to build out this rooftop system (weather, do your best 😅).

PTZ Monitoring Installation | IKEA Doncaster 🔧🎥

This week we began a major CCTV installation at IKEA Doncaster, where we’re installing four PTZ cameras mounted on 3-metre poles across the 35 metre high rooftop to monitor the store’s solar panels for blow offs, fire risks and abnormal activity.

The project started on Monday, and the team have made strong progress already.
Today we completed the crane lift, safely getting the 3 metre poles and equipment onto the roof, and we have now installed around half of the traywork needed for the cabling routes.

With high level rooftop works and weather dependent access, planning and safety remain at the forefront throughout this 3 week programme.
