Cllr Julie Gunn attended a gathering in the House of Commons this week.

Thank you Josh MacAlister for your commitment to our children and young people.

Foster With BWD, I am so proud of the work you do to support our children, young people, their families and carers.

If you are interested in becoming a carer, please look to your local authority first.

🛣️Reform refuse to deny secret M65 toll plans🛣️

Pure gold Farage today so eager 🤩 to be in the papers, didn’t notice the headline 🤣. All ego no substance

ALL 9 Reform UK councillors abstained.

That’s an important detail from the vote on the proposed M65 toll.

Reform UK had nine councillors, and all nine abstained — they did not vote for the motion,

Whatever your view on the M65 toll proposal, the voting record is clear: Reform UK abstained.

What no questions?
Cllr Vicky McGurk delivers her portfolio report at Council Forum last week.

Makes you wonder if any of the opposition had read the paper? Understood the paper?

Or they simply know that this Council is well run.

Here’s a clip of Cllr Floyd explaining how we must always consider our vulnerable adults.

You can also watch Cllr Quesir Mahmood explain in detail that the information asked for in one of the motions is already available

We wonder what action Cllr Matchett is going to take with his team? those who walk around during prayers & don’t listen to the Mayor.

It’s good to celebrate the good work that Councils do.

Cllr Matt Jackson was right to make this the main part of his speech. Taking over the baton from Cllr Damian Talbot who has led many teams through the austerity years, keeping us on solid ground, it was right to celebrate the staff achievement.

Many forget when having ‘a go’ at the Council that this hurts staff who work for the Council.

Councillors are responsible for them too, as employees.
