There is a red warning in place for heat on Wednesday and Thursday this week, with temperatures expected up to 32 degrees on Thursday. ☀️☀️☀️

To make it more comfortable for our children, we are making the following adaptations to our normal routines:
• Uniform – children can come to school in loose-fitting, light coloured clothing such as shorts and t-shirts. 🩳👕
• PE lessons will be planned to avoid over exertion and reduce time in the sun. 🏸🏏
• Football will be cancelled to avoid any children over-heating. This includes the club on Wednesday after school. ⚽️⚽️
• We have a supply of ice pops to keep our children cool 🧊
• If the footballers can have hydration breaks so can we! We will encourage our children to drink even if they don’t feel thirsty. 💧

As a parent or carer, please:
• Make sure your child has a refillable water bottle.
• Make sure your child is wearing sun cream.
• Send your child into school with a sun hat. 🧢👒

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful families who came along to support our Dance Festival today!

Despite the weather's best efforts to turn it into a Swim Festival, our children performed brilliantly and showed fantastic enthusiasm, resilience and smiles throughout. ☔💃🕺

We are incredibly proud of every child who took part and grateful to everyone who braved the rain, brought their umbrellas, and cheered from the sidelines.

Thank you for making the day such a success – although next year we'll be placing our order for sunshine a little earlier! ☀️😊

The weather isn't looking too bad (although we could all do with doing a sunshine dance today! ☀️💃🕺).

The ice cream van is booked, the DJ is ready to crank up the tunes, and we're just about set for our annual Dance Festival!

🎶 Gates open on Friday 19th June at 1:45pm for a 2:00pm start.

🎟️ Entry is just 50p per person (cash on the gate, please). Babies and toddlers go free.

Come along, have some fun, and let us entertain you with our outstanding dance moves! We can't wait to see you there! 😊

🍎 Free School Meals Eligibility is Changing from September 2026

Many more families may be entitled to Free School Meals from September 2026 and may not realise they qualify.

Applying is quick, simple and completely confidential. If your child is eligible, it could help save your family money on school meals while also providing additional funding that supports learning and resources across our school.

We encourage all families to check their eligibility, even if you have applied before or think you may not qualify.

🕺🎶 Get ready to rewind to the 1990s! 🎶💃

We're delighted to announce the date of our much-anticipated Annual Dance Festival! 🌟

This year's theme is The 1990s, and excitement is already building throughout the school. From iconic pop hits to classic dance moves, our children and staff are busy preparing for a fantastic celebration of all things 90s.

There's one member of staff who is particularly excited... 👀 Mr Warren is already dusting off his favourite dance moves and can't wait to hit the dance floor! 🕺✨

Join us at 2pm on Friday 19th June for an unforgettable afternoon of music, dancing, and fun. We can't wait to see our talented performers bring the spirit of the 90s to life!
