Big Thankyou to Sarah Sloane and the literacy trust in Blackpool for kindly providing a selection of magazines for the children to enjoy and share with their families to help encourage a love of reading beyond our setting!

What a lovely Autumn walk we have had today!
We went to Stanley park, and joined in collecting leaves for our craft activity. 🍁 We enjoyed finding squirrels and fed them nuts 🥜 We joined in feeding the ducks and birds 🦢 🦆 and finished of our walk with a game of hide and seek 🥰

Trick or Treat! Thank you to National Literacy Trust in Blackpool for the children’s magazines. Everyone will receive one to take home and share with family.

Magazines that include toys offer positive benefits for children's reading habits and development, combining playful engagement with literacy.

What a fantastic morning we have had! We have been for a walk through the woods to find leaves to stick on our hedgehog pictures. 🦔 🍂 🌳 We had our wet suits and wellies on, all prepared for the mud and puddles. We heard lots of birds singing and we liked the sound the leaves made when we crunched them. We had a great game of hide and seek, and we specially liked the stream that passed through the woods. What a lovely autumn walk 🍁 🥰

Everyone has joined in making their sponsorship money pots to raise money for children in need. We are going to take part in this years “Challenge 25” and take part in our own sponsored scavenger hunt at Blackpool Zoo! The children have joined in decorating their money pots with Zoo animal stickers and taken them home to ask family and friends to sponsor them. We can all dress up in our favourite Zoo animal or wear an animal top and join in the scavenger hunt. We have our Pudsey ears ready and we are very excited! 🐻 💛

Playtime Care 2026
OFSTED Graded: Strong Standard 💚
Hi everyone! I can finally announce that after my OFSTED inspection on Monday 22nd June I was awarded a “strong standard”. I am really pleased with my outcome! It is a tough grade to achieve and being recognised for the hard work I do means everything!

“The setting reaches a strong standard. Leaders are working above the standard expected of them”.
“A step up from expected, this grade recognises excellent, consistent practice that is genuinely making a positive difference to children's outcomes. These settings are doing more than meeting expectations—they're exceeding them in significant ways”.

Thank you to Willow’s Treasures for all the personalised gifts and keepsakes you help us create throughout the year and my personalised labels and chocolate treats and thank you to Sammie's Sweets for the beautiful personalised sweet cones 🍬 🍫 the children will love them! 🥳🥰

And a special thanks for all the parents who choose me to take care of their beautiful children who attend playtime Care, I really do feel so lucky to be a part of their developmental journey 🥰
