DD Fire Alarms Ltd is a family run business based in blackpool with engineers throughout the northwest of England but also cover contracts throughout the UK. Our services include; design, installation and commissioning of fire alarm systems, fire alarm servicing and maintenance, fire suppression systems, Fire extinguisher servicing and installation, PAT testing, Fire training, 24hr 365 days a year

callout service. We can also supply C-tec, Apollo, Nittan, Ringtail lighting, Ivanhoe batteries and DSPA suppression products.

⚠️Awareness post⚠️

As a heads up to anyone who stores there electric bikes & scooters at home.

This is from a site we attended today where an electric bike spontaneously combusted while not on charge. Thankfully all occupants in apartment were alerted via the smoke alarms & the building was safely evacuated. Fortunately the fire was contained within the apartment with the help of the fire doors.

However in a domestic property you may not have correctly positioned or working smoke detectors & you most certainly won't have fire doors, the affects from the above would be even more devastating as the fire would not be contained behind the fire doors.
