Our first Meet the Maker of the year is coming to Land of Oak & Iron, and our first wonderful artist is Jessica Marika!

Starting her journey during the COVID-19 lockdown, she quickly developed into an incredible illustrator, specialising in pet and wildlife portraits that capture the personality of animals with a soft and delicate touch.

Her work will be available to buy in our gift shop from the 5th of June, culminating in her own Meet the Maker day where she will come in person to sell her pieces. We hope you enjoy her lovely style as much as we do!

Part of our Get Growing – Plant & Seed Swap event, one of our in-house creatives Susan will be teaching you how to make a decoupage tin pot to add some DIY magic to you garden.

All materials will be provided, and Susan will teach you all the techniques needed to create these beautiful, decorative plant pots. Afterwards, you could also buy a new plant for your new creation!

Ran with True North Trades , they'll teach you how to make your very own candleholder using heritage techniques. This would make an excellent gift for Father's Day - we usually sell out so don't delay!

Anthea has over 20 years of experience in family history research and has led many successful genealogy courses.
