Well, the time is nearly here. If you want a Councillor who:

1. Was born and raised in Blyth and genuinely cares about the area
2. Will be truthful and fully transparent on all matters
3. Won't just hide away once/if elected
4. Will fight for you no matter which party you are aligned to
5. Doesn't want to score political points or make digs at other parties
Then please vote for me tomorrow.

WELL THAT IS IT!
When I started this campaign I said to myself I would deliver all the leaflets by myself with no help from friends, family or volunteers and that is exactly what I have just completed. This is the last of around 1800 houses and 80000 steps.

No matter what happens 6th May at least I can say I've put the effort in.

Do you live in South Blyth and suffer from the terrible phone signal? It seems I am the only candidate who is willing to try and tackle this problem. Due to the poor phone signal, the EV chargers at the beach have become difficult to use as you can't connect to the app. This is unacceptable and something that must be fixed. A vote for me on 6th May means we may finally be able to do something about it.

Anti-social behaviour happens everywhere. It seems to be an ever-growing problem in South Blyth. Every councillors solution seems to be lighting or CCTV when the real solution is getting these kids/teenagers off the street. The real solution is a youth club in the area and better sports provisions. More lighting and CCTV is just going to move the problem to a different area. I will fight for a real solution to the problem once and for all.

This is the exact sort of incompetence I plan on correcting if elected. This plan has clearly been made by someone who never uses this roundabout or roads in question. This will create more problems than it will solve.

A deadline for views on proposed road improvements in has been extended to May 4th.
The plan is to remodel the roundabout at Waterloo Road/Renwick Road with new pedestrian crossings and cycle-friendly features.

Having lost my brother and a few close friends to su***de, mental health is a problem very close to my heart. If elected I promise to fight for better mental health provisions and greater access to help in the area.

As a party, the SDP promise that funding for mental health services shall be increased as a share of overall NHS spending over future parliamentary terms for so long as the growing incidence of mental illness justifies this.

Due to the pandemic now more than ever mental health is a growing problem. If anyone needs someone to talk to then do not hesitate to give me an email or this page a message.

If elected as Councillor of South Blyth this is something we would work to eradicate. Pushing for a youth club in the South Blyth area to take these kids off the streets would be a top priority. We will also push for better lighting in park areas and areas frequented by those causing ASB.

⚠️ SOUTH BEACH PLAY AREA ⚠️

Unfortunately we have received a report from Northumbria Police that there has been bleach poured over the children's play equipment at South Beach.

We are utterly appalled at this mindless act of vandalism and the partnership team has been deployed immediately to fully clean the play area equipment.

This could have resulted in serious injury to a young child given that this is a chemical substance.

The CCTV camera was being redeployed to South Beach play area tomorrow following various other anti-social behaviour reports in the past week. We can confirm this will be in position tomorrow and any future vandals will be identified.

Please can we ask residents to report anti-social behaviour incidents to Northumbria Police on 101 or online via - https://beta.northumbria.police.uk/our-services/report-it/report-an-incident/

If you spot any issues with our play areas (broken glass, vandalism etc) please report this immediately to Blyth Town Council.
