We'd like to introduce the charities that are raising money through our raffle for a beach hut for Blyth Live.

Tempest Martial Arts are a local company with an incredible team. They began Empowerment dojo in 2024 .

The empowerment dojo is a charity designed to offer free classes to children with additional needs who may find regular classes too overwhelming.

These martial arts classes are for children who may find it difficult to join a mainstream class, this gives them the space to move, build confidence and feel part of a team in an environment that’s inclusive and adaptive to their needs.

Tickets are available from Tempest directly, or you can buy from ourselves at Blyth Beach Huts and Dave Stephens Centre or Blyth Community Enterprise Centre.

You can find more information about it here:

How would spending the day for Blyth Live, in the comfort of a Beach Hut, sound?

We have raffle tickets available now!

Tickets are available from our office on Ridley Street, and from The Dave Stephens Centre from Friday 8th May.

We've chosen to do it this way since taking over management of the beach huts as we felt it both the fairest way to utilise the availability and it has benefitted local charities by raising £100's.

Winners will be drawn on Monday 15th June, get your tickets to be in with a chance.

Today our facilities manager Georgina attended an International Women's Day breakfast organised by Walk The Plank as part of the celebrations this week for the Festival of Energy taking place in Blyth.

An incredible event to be a part of, 200 women were nominated and attended to watch special performances under the Gaia and Museum of The Moon which have never been exhibited together before, before continuing on their tour.

We have so many powerhouse women who work within Blyth Community Enterprise Centre and we're proud to be able to help facilitate that.
