Please be aware dog walkers. Some raisins have been dropped/left near the pond dipping platform resulting in two local dogs finding them, eating them and needing to go to the vets to get rid of them. As many as possible have been picked up. Please do not feed raisins to the ducks (or dogs) as they are not good for the ducks in large quantities.

Later this coming week, probably Friday, SSE will be replacing a pole in the woodland - this will involve large machinery going in. They will also be putting something on the wires to highlight to passing birds that the wires are there, hopefully cutting down on accidental bird deaths.

Sadly one of the beautiful mute swans we love seeing on the loch flew into a power line and died earlier today. Thank you to those who alerted me to it and those who went to check on it. I will be in contact with companies who own the lines to see if this can be prevented in the future.
