TREE PLANTING DAY - WEDS 12 FEBRUARY

*EDIT - TIME CONFIRMED 10.00a.m*

BTC's Parks Manager, Richard Davies, is organising a tree planting day in Priory Meadow on Wednesday 12 February (circa 10.00 a.m., time to be confirmed). The Council is delighted to have been gifted over 60 Cornish fruit trees by the Environment Agency (who will be helping us on the day) and would like to invite anyone interested in planting a new orchard to come along and give us a hand. This is a small step to we can take to help provide habitat and food for our pollinating insects and continue to combat climate change.

Please note that BTC stock of tools is limited, so it would be really helpful if people could bring what they have - spades, trowels, gloves - all would be useful! Also, the site is fairly muddy at the moment so sturdy footwear is a must. If you would like to come along please contact Richard ([email protected] or 01208 455740) before Wednesday so he can gauge numbers.

If you'd love to see the Bodmin Riding Festival become a real celebration of Bodmin and it's community once again, please get in touch to sponsor us and wish us well!

Building on our branding work project for Bodmin we have recently had a set of leaflets produced outlining all the amazing things our rural parishes have to offer. This project was a partnership between all the rural parishes within our lovely Community Network area and the Town Council. Wendy Wright from the Visitor Information Centre did a brilliant job of co-ordinating this piece of work. Thank you to everyone involved. I hope you all agree they are looking great. If you are interested in a pack please pop into the Visitor Information Centre in Shire Hall where Wendy and colleagues will be able to help.

Zack Vincent and Fin Davis, two incredibly talented Digital Media Degree students from Bodmin College, have been working hard this year to develop a promotional film for the town. This film is aimed at raising the awareness of the range of things that are available to do in the town and the surrounding areas, and it also celebrates some of our local celebrations - not least the best fireworks display in the County!

Please have a look at what your amazing area has to offer and share it with others.
Well done Zack and Fin you have done brilliant job! Please contact Zack and Fin on [email protected] for more information
