An extract from this week's Bognor Observer column, from the Mayor of Bognor Regis...
"I hope you all enjoyed the warm Bank Holiday weekend and had the chance to visit some of the fantastic events and attractions in Bognor Regis. Both the Carnival and Book Day’s “Festival of Birds” were wonderful successes, bringing plenty of colour, fun, and smiling faces to the Town. I thoroughly enjoyed touring the latter with our Town Crier Jane and it was lovely to stop and chat and take photos with so many of you along the way!
Earlier today, the Town Council held the first of this year’s Councillor Drop-In Surgeries. Fellow Councillors and I were pleased to speak with residents about local issues and answer questions from the community we are proud to represent. If you were unable to attend, there will be more opportunities throughout the year, with the next surgery taking place on Saturday 22nd August on the Prom.
Looking ahead to next weekend, the Town Council’s Extreme Mountain Bike Show returns to the Town Centre on Sunday 7th June from 12pm to 4pm, weather permitting. Led by five-time British and European Champion Danny Butler, this free event promises thrilling stunts, live entertainment, and family fun for all ages.
There is also still time to enter this year’s Bognor Regis in Bloom competition. New categories include “Best Back Garden” and “Best New Entrant,” so whether you are proud of your home display or adding colour to your business premises, there is something for everyone. Entry forms and details can be found on our website, or by contacting the Allotments & In Bloom Committee Clerk using the details on the poster below... Good luck!"
