🌟 THEY ARE OUR FUTURE

Yesterday we were invited to JEP Youth Engagement in Bolton, where I gave a presentation about the work of Homeless Aid UK CIC.

It was great speaking to the young people about what our unpaid volunteers do at grassroots level, 365 days a year, and about the sponsors and supporters who make our work possible.

They’re hopefully going to get involved too, including cooking for one of our soup kitchens. 🙏

Young people are our future, so it’s important they understand what is happening right here in their own communities and how they can make a difference.

We’re a grassroots organisation that sometimes feels completely forgotten, despite working in Bolton for over 10 years and across the surrounding areas for around 16 years.

Thank you to JEP Youth Engagement for inviting us. ❤️

❤️ ANOTHER BUSY FEW DAYS FOR HOMELESS AID UK ❤️

While most of us were still tucked up in bed this morning, our amazing team were already out in Manchester at around 6.30am, walking miles across the city on our breakfast homeless outreach. 🥪☕❤️

It has been a very busy few days across all our outreaches.

On Tuesday, our Bolton soup kitchen was extremely busy once again.

A massive thank you to Evergreen Skips for sponsoring the hot food, with snacks and extras kindly donated by Benefit Mankind, MRH Solicitors and Homeless Aid UK. 🙏❤️

Our partners were also out in Bury, where they had another very busy evening at their street kitchen, supporting and feeding those who needed them. ❤️

Then on Wednesday, our Wigan team were back out serving those who needed us.

🍕 Pizza from Arfan Frango and Milanos Pizza
🥘 Casserole from Kelly and cottage pie from Shailendra Shelley Raja
🥪 Butties lovingly made by Mary Croft mum Lisa
❤️ Extras from Nisa Local
🍞 Bread, cakes, fruit and pastries from Westhoughton Assist
🍫 Snacks from Benefit Mankind

Different towns, different teams, but the same purpose. Making sure that people who are homeless or struggling know that somebody is there for them. ❤️

A huge thank you to every volunteer who has been out with us over the last few days, especially those who were up and out so early this morning. 🙏❤️
