Prevent Training (Intermediate) - Tues 21st July 1.00-4.00pm Hill Centre
Training to support and enable professionals to deal with concerns of radicalisation whatever the ideology with children they have contact.
The Prevent training course is designed to help professionals understand their responsibilities under the UK government's Prevent duty, which is part of the broader counter-terrorism strategy (CONTEST).
Prevent training equips professionals with the knowledge and skills to:
* Recognise signs of radicalisation and extremism in individuals.
* Understand the pathways that can lead someone to adopt extremist views.
* Know how to respond appropriately, including how to refer concerns through safeguarding channels.
* Work collaboratively with other agencies to support individuals at risk.
It’s relevant to anyone working in education, health, social care, policing, housing, or any frontline role where safeguarding is a priority.
