Donate to Hertfordshire Libraries

It’s now easy to donate online to the library service by visiting our website. We are often offered donations of money by users who wish to show their appreciation for the service. Those who visit the library are able to do this in person. Now you can also support the library service by donating online. Hertfordshire Libraries are a universal and free service to the community. Your decision to donate is an entirely voluntary one. We ask that you donate only as much as you feel comfortable with. You may want to consider either a one-off payment or more frequently.

Recognise the view? We didn't! Shenley Road looked quite different all those years ago... The correspondence on the reverse of this postcard reads: "Dear Ashley/ tell Mamma to get ready to go to Mr Butts tomorrow afternoon about 4 o'clock/ Goodbye from your Dad." 😊😊😊

Our Local History section is on the top floor and we are open until 7PM tonight. If you wish to see this or more from our collection relating to the history Borehamwood and the surrounding area, pop in and ask a member of staff if you fancy seeing more from the collection.

The opening hours for the Upper Floors are:

Monday 9am-6pm
Tuesday 12-6pm
Wednesday 9am-6pm
Thursday 12-7pm
Saturday 9-4pm
