A lovely day for the annual Borth RNLI Open at Borth and Ynyslas Golf Club.

Local fundraising effort raises over £700 for Borth RNLI. Story is available on the RNLI News Centre:

A former Borth RNLI crew member, alongside the support of the local community, has raised £765.59 in aid of the lifesaving charity.

Borth lifeboat was tasked this evening shortly after 5 o'clock along with the HM Coastguard Borth team to assist a young man who had damaged his ankle skim boarding on the beach at Ynyslas. The Borth RNLI Lifeboat Station and Coastguard teams helped him off the beach and after that was achieved family members took him to Bronglais Hospital.

With the Met Office amber and red weather warning for extreme heat across Wales, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is urging people heading to the region’s coastline to visit a lifeguarded beach and follow essential water safety advice that could save lives.
