The folks at no 5 travelled to Bude by bus today. The bus stop is 20 seconds away from the cottage, located on the bridge. What a lovely stress free way to travel and see the country side. Cutting through Crackington Haven and Widemouth Bay and dropped in Bude Town centre. A short walk to all of the beaches and shops. We had a fantastic pasty and loved seeing them all being made from scratch before enjoying a cooling cider and a dip in the amazing sea pool. At £3 for a single ticket it is absolute bargain. We are fully booked for August and September but availability for next year. Get that lovely British holiday booked and enjoy the delights of Cornwall and the Boscastle welcome.

Whilst sipping my tea at the dressing table this morning I was caught by how lovely it is to have this view from the bedroom. Nothing amazing but with the sound of bird song and the sun having woken up and the trees looking very green, the moment lifted my heart. Why not share the moment and book yourself a break at no 5. Still got some availability in late June and July.

The folk at no5 visited Heligan today. It was lovely to see the gardeners at work preparing the beds for new crops and the whole of Heligan was bursting with daffodils. There is also an excellent show from the rhododendron, camelia and magnolia at this time of year. Well worth a visit.

This popped up on FB today. A painting from 1897 of the natural inlet compared to today. Boscastle is such a magical place.
