Very interesting

Boscastle’s harbour doesn’t open straight to the Atlantic. It turns.

The dog-leg entrance, cut in 1584, is one of the few natural harbours on this stretch of north Cornwall. The coast path runs through the village, and Tintagel is only a few miles along the cliffs.

Start with the harbour, then decide whether you walk, swim the tidal pool, or push on to Tintagel.

The folks at no5 love this little gem and it's worth a visit all year round. Enjoy the walk along the river which is about a mile. Taking in the sounds of nature and running water. The waterfall is incredible. Spend time paddling and if you are brave enough enjoy a bracing shower under the waterfall. If you remember to bring dry clothes head in to the wonderful cafe, if you didn't remember sit outside! Either way enjoy!

Camel Valley Vineyard supplies the most amazing w**e. The folks at no 5 thoroughly recommend a visit to sample some of their delightful sparkling w**e on the Terrace that overlooks the vineyard. Tours around the vineyard are also fun. Book yourself in. Enjoy!

The folks at No 5 are happy to tell you that the cottage is back open. Yay! We have had extensive works done in the garden and we are rather chuffed at the result. As usual the views are stunning and now they can be enjoyed from the fantastic terrace and decking area. We have also taken the opportunity to update some of the furniture and refresh a few thing inside plus redecoration of the exterior. Next development will be planting but for now we welcome you back.

The folks at no 5 travelled to Bude by bus today. The bus stop is 20 seconds away from the cottage, located on the bridge. What a lovely stress free way to travel and see the country side. Cutting through Crackington Haven and Widemouth Bay and dropped in Bude Town centre. A short walk to all of the beaches and shops. We had a fantastic pasty and loved seeing them all being made from scratch before enjoying a cooling c***r and a dip in the amazing sea pool. At £3 for a single ticket it is absolute bargain. We are fully booked for August and September but availability for next year. Get that lovely British holiday booked and enjoy the delights of Cornwall and the Boscastle welcome.

Whilst sipping my tea at the dressing table this morning I was caught by how lovely it is to have this view from the bedroom. Nothing amazing but with the sound of bird song and the sun having woken up and the trees looking very green, the moment lifted my heart. Why not share the moment and book yourself a break at no 5. Still got some availability in late June and July.
