BHS has a strong House tradition raising money for many worthwhile causes.
Last year we raised £4749.38 for our House Charities.
Looking ahead to 2026 - 2028, our newly appointed Student Leadership Team has selected both national and local charities for each House to support.
We also welcome our new staff House leads!
⭐️Allan House – Mrs Scott
National: BBC Children in Need raises funds to support vulnerable children and young people that are struggling due to mental health, poverty, social inequality.
Local: LIVES is a medical charity, who train and equip volunteers as community first responders and specialised medics.
♥️Conway House – Mrs Whatton
National: British Heart Foundation funds medical research into heart disease, strokes, provides patient support, and supplies community defibrillators.
Local: The Salvation Army in Boston provides support for the homeless, runs community and family programmes, offers debt advice, and school mentoring.
🔵Ingelow House – Mrs Connor
National: Blue Cross is an animal welfare charity which helps sick, injured, and homeless pets, and provides veterinary care, rehoming services, a pet food bank, and a helpline.
Local: Shine is a wellbeing charity, supporting people with mental health challenges, providing one-on-one peer support and distributing community mental health funding.
🟪Kitwood House – Mr Stroud
National: Mental Health Foundation is dedicated to preventing poor mental health, and building good mental health for everyone by addressing root causes of mental distress through research.
Local: The Lighthouse Project Spalding provides social support and housing for young people who are homeless or at-risk, young mums, and those struggling with mental health.
✅Lindis House – Mrs Carter
National: Macmillan Cancer Support provides physical, emotional, and financial support to people living with cancer and their loved ones.
Local: Boston Foodbank provides emergency food parcels and support services to individuals and families facing financial crises.
