What better way to use your health and wellness hours? 👏🏼🎾🤩

It was a pleasure to welcome the Boston team from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue to Padel People for some social padel, team bonding, and well earned wellness time 🙌🏼

Padel is more than just a game. It’s great for your physical and mental wellbeing, a chance to switch off from the day-to-day, connect with others, and maybe channel a little frustration into a few powerful smashes 😉💥

Firefighters from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue recently took part in a paddle session hosted by Padel People Boston , highlighting the importance of maintaining both physical fitness and positive mental wellbeing.

The session provided an opportunity for firefighters to enjoy the physical benefits of paddle while promoting the value of creating safe, supportive environments where firefighters feel comfortable talking openly about their mental health.

Initiatives like this play an important role in encouraging conversations around mental wellbeing, reducing stigma, and reminding people that looking after your mental health is just as important as looking after your physical health.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue is committed to supporting the wellbeing of its staff and working with local organisations to promote positive mental health across our communities.

A sincere thank you to Paddle People Boston for hosting the session and supporting this important initiative.

With the recent warm weather we would like you take a minute to follow the link below, and have a talk with people within your close circle of friends and family of the dangers of cooling off in open waters.
Did you Know:-
Even on a warm day, open water can be dangerously cold. Cold water shock can affect your breathing and make it difficult to swim and lead to drowning.
It may be tempting to cool off in open water such as rivers, lakes and reservoirs but cold water can kill.
Think before you or your friends enter the water – cold water shock can affect the strongest swimmers.

Our community fire safety advocates will be in the Main Ridge East, area of Boston on 02/06/2026 from 11am talking to residents about fire safety in the home which will include advice on smoke alarms, escape plans and preventing fires.

➡ Phone 999 to get help
➡ Tell them to stay calm and float on their back
➡ Throw rescue equipment to help them float

Never enter the water to attempt a rescue.

This weekend the Boston May Fair is in town, this is an amazing tradition that has been happening for 900 years.

Today the local crew has completed one of its regular visits to the fair, to make sure all the hydrants are accessible if needed, along with good access to local shops and residential properties.
