On farms, as with any business, make sure you're prepared if the worst happens.

If you discover a fire:
🦺 Get everyone to a safe place and enact your emergency plans
📞 Call 999 immediately and ask for Fire and Rescue
📍 Provide clear directions to field access points, using What3Words if possible

Preparation, communication and early action are critical to prevent fire spread and crop losses in this weather.

🔥 The recent Government alert has increased awareness of wildfire risks, which has been very important with the recent weather.

Our crews are working around the clock to keep our communities safer, and that includes our fantastic control team who take calls and help mobilise firefighters every day.

They’ve noticed a sharp spike in non-emergency 999 calls since the alert.

Please remember that 999 should only be used to report emergencies.

Where there’s a fire, visible plumes of smoke, people at risk, get to safety and call 999.

If you're sharing information, concerns about potential fire-setting or risks and there's no immediate danger, we still want to hear from you, but please do this through FireStoppers on 0800 169 5558 or online via www.firestoppersreport.co.uk

Help us keep 999 free for emergencies.

🍺 + 🔥 = Increased risk.

Summer gatherings are a great opportunity to spend time with friends and family.

If you're responsible for cooking on the barbecue:

🍔 Stay focused
🍺 Take it easy on the alcohol
🔥 Never leave cooking unattended

Alcohol and fire can be a dangerous combination.

Stay safe and enjoy your summer responsibly.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue are looking at changes to our response model.

As part of a suggested new approach, we’re proposing employing 20 new wholetime firefighters and upgrading one of our wholetime stations to provide 24/7 wholetime cover.

We’d like to know how these proposals could impact you and your local community.
