Bournemouth Music Library

Bournemouth Music Library The music library dates back to 1913 and owes its origins to munificent founder J.B.M Camm.

We are an award-winning music library situated in the heart of Bournemouth town centre on the south coast, providing an essential resource for anyone with an interest in music. The library houses an extensive collection of sheet music, and books about music and musicians as well as CDs covering Pop, Jazz and Classical genres. As a library member you can access the NAXOS music library for free and

enjoy over two million tracks of classical music. We also have an electric piano available to book for practice sessions. Many musical groups in the BCP area use us to provide and source their performance sets, a service we also offer to music libraries nationally. We support the area’s musical heritage, and hold the archive of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. Normally there is a monthly gathering of the ‘Friends of Bournemouth Music Library’. This fantastic free event attracts music lovers of the town to come and enjoy a coffee and either a recital or a talk by a local musician. Please do get in touch with us for more information on any of our services.

Holocaust Memorial Day Trust has launched a new music competition, HMD Harmony, to find emerging musicians and composers, aged 18-25, whose music will become part of the UK National Holocaust Memorial Day Ceremony on 27 January 2027.

🎵 Introducing HMD Harmony🎵

The Holocaust Memorial Day Trust is excited to launch HMD Harmony, a new UK-wide music competition for emerging composers and musicians aged 18–25.

We are seeking an exceptional creator or group whose music will become part of the UK National Holocaust Memorial Day Ceremony.

For Holocaust Memorial Day 2027, we invite you to create an original musical response inspired by the theme ‘No Place for Prejudice’.

This is a unique opportunity to share your music on a national stage, connect with audiences across the UK and contribute to a moment that helps people remember the past and protect the future.

🎵 Create music that matters. Find out more via the link in the comments.
