We are writing to ask for your urgent support in helping to keep our children safe on their journeys to and from school.

As you may be aware, a decision has been made to make all School Crossing Patrol Officers redundant. These dedicated officers play a vital role in ensuring the safety of children and families at some of the busiest and most challenging road crossings in our community.

A petition has been launched calling for this decision to be reversed. The deadline for signatures is this Monday 22nd June, so we kindly ask all parents, carers, family members, friends, and local residents to sign the petition as soon as possible using this link: https://www.jessicatoale.com/lollipop-petition

Losing this service could have a significant impact on the safety of our school children.

With hot weather forecast for this Monday 22nd June, we would like all children to come to school wearing their PE kit to help them stay cool and comfortable throughout the day. Please also ensure that your child has:

1. Sun cream applied before coming to school.
2. A named water bottle filled with water.
3. A named sun hat to wear during outdoor activities.

We will be encouraging children to drink water regularly and will make use of shaded areas where possible. However, your support in preparing your child for the warm weather is greatly appreciated.

For the first time in the history of the school, St Luke's has won the Girls Football League. We couldn't be prouder of the team who smashed their way through the competition in some really tough matches! Well done to the girls, Mr Heyward and Mrs Gomez for this incredible achievement.

Rocking out for World Book Day! We have had a great day with Masked readers, story sharing and a celebration of all things books! Thank you to everyone who supported with the day.

We are incredibly proud to have been recognised as one of the top schools nationally for our schools performance. We received this letter from the Secretary Of State earlier this week in recognition of all the hard work of the team here at St Luke's and it has inspired us to strive to achieve even more for our pupils.
