🚗✨ We absolutely love it when previous owners—or those with a special connection to our vehicles—pop in to see us and share their stories.

Last week we were delighted to welcome Pearl, the former owner of our newly arrived Clément‑Bayard. It was a real joy to hear her wonderful memories and learn more about the car’s history straight from someone who knew it so well.

Why not come along and meet “Clemmy” for yourself this bank holiday weekend? We’re open every day from 10am, with last entry at 5.15pm, and the museum is the perfect place to while away a few happy hours.

☀️ The sun is out and summer is on its way – and what better way to cool off than with an ice cream? 🍦

Come on down to the Motoring Museum and meet Bertie, our brand‑new ice cream van! Bertie is fully stocked with delicious ice creams and treats, and if the weather takes one of those classic April turns, there’s even a cheeky hot chocolate or coffee waiting for you ☕

Now that Easter has passed, with fresh air and warmer weather on the way, our Museum Manager has turned her attention to her next project, our lovely AA box.

AA boxes were first introduced in 1912, providing shelter to AA patrols as well as emergency communication for stranded motorist. Roughly 1,000 black, yellow-detailed wooden boxes were placed in various spots around the country, often filled with maps, a telephone and important local information, with some even having tea and biscuits inside!

Why don't you come down and see what's happening with our box this Spring, we're open every day from 10am with last entry at 5.15pm!
