🧩 Join the Friends of Bovey Library for a fun-filled Jigsaw Puzzle Night! Eight teams, eight identical puzzles, and one goal — be the first team to piece it all together and claim the win! 🏆
🧩 There’ll be a well-earned refreshment break halfway through to fuel up and have a natter, so gather your best puzzlers and come along for an evening of friendly competition, laughs and a little bit of head-scratching!
🧩 Tickets are £7 per person and teams can be made up of up to four people (family, friends, co-workers, book group buddies, you get the idea!). Visit ticketsource to book:

Five adults have built their cycling confidence through free sessions at new library based cycling hubs in Bovey Tracey and Exmouth, gaining skills, confidence and enthusiasm for getting around by bike.
The two sessions marked a successful start for the latest community cycling hubs created by Active Devon and Libraries Unlimited. With bikes available at the libraries, adults could take part even if they did not own a bike, while the small, supportive sessions allowed everyone to learn at their own pace.
Working in partnership with Devon County Council, Active Devon offers free adult cycling training across the county to help adults get cycling, improve their skills and gain in confidence.

Can you help us share the books everyone wants to read this month? 📚

There’s high demand for our 10 most wanted titles, and many eager customers are waiting to borrow them. We’ve purchased as many copies as our budget allows, but if you’re able to help, we’d be truly grateful.

If you have a pristine copy, you’ve finished reading - whether it’s one you bought yourself or received as a gift - you can donate it at any library in Devon or Torbay. We’ll add it to our collection to help reduce the waiting list.

We've a busy afternoon at the library today! First up is Bounce & Rhyme/Stay & Play from 14:00-15:00, followed by our baby weigh station from 15:00-16:00.
🌟 Bounce & Rhyme is for babies, pre-schoolers and their grown-ups - join us for some fun singing, followed by Stay & Play with refreshments, giving you time to get to know other families.
🌟 Sign-in starts from 1.45pm; we have space for 20 adults with accompanying children.
🌟 We are so pleased to now be able to offer a baby weigh station at the library every Thursday afternoon from 15:00-16:00.
🌟 No need to book, just pop in to weigh your baby using our calibrated scales.

We hope by removing overdue fees, we are further reducing barriers to reading. This change is effective immediately.

📚 Today is the day! It's the return of Bovey Book Chat - our informal, friendly book group where we share what we've been reading lately and talk all things books!
📚 If you'd like ideas and recommendations for new authors and good books, would enjoy meeting new people, and like a brew and a biscuit, then please join us!
📚 We usually meet on the last Friday of the month at 2.00pm. No need to book, just come along and get chatting!
