Binfield Parish Council Office

Binfield Parish Council Office Binfield Parish Council serves the Parish of Binfield with around 3,300 households and almost 8,000 residents.

Binfield Parish Council is made up of 11 serving councillors and 5 members of staff. The Parish Council has many duties and responsibilities but at the heart of what we do is the role of listening to the needs of the community and ensuring Binfield has a voice with other Government bodies and organisations, in particular with Bracknell Forest Council. We work with all the other Parish Councils in

the area and in particular with Winkfield and Warfield Parish Councils. The Parish covers over 1300 hectares (or 3200 acres) and almost 8,000 residents (according to the last census). We manage and maintain many of the local parks as well as the Red Rose Allotments.

♻️ BLISTER PACK RECYCLING – Can you help us keep it going!♻️

Our blister pack recycling scheme has been a fantastic success! 🎉 We’re now filling one collection box every month, helping to reduce waste and give used blister packs a new lease of life.

The idea for the scheme came from Binfield Environment Group, who kindly funded our very first collection box. 💚 A huge thank you to them for helping us get this initiative off the ground!

However, keeping the scheme running comes at a cost. Each collection box costs approximately £216, and every blister pack has to be sorted by hand before it can be sent for recycling.

The scheme started as a trial initiative, and we currently don’t have a dedicated budget to cover the ongoing costs. With demand continuing to grow, we’re looking for local businesses, community groups and individuals to help us sponsor a collection box.

💷 You can help by:
• Sponsoring a full collection box (£216)
• Making an individual donation towards the cost of a box – every contribution, big or small, makes a difference!

For businesses and community groups sponsoring a box, we’ll proudly promote your organisation alongside the collection box and across our social media channels.

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: Our blister pack recycling scheme is currently suspended while we arrange to order some new collection boxes. We’ll let you know as soon as the scheme is up and running again.

Together, we can keep this valuable community recycling initiative going and continue to make a difference. 🌍♻️

📩 If you’d like to sponsor a box or make a donation, please get in touch.

📧 Email: [email protected]
📞 Call: 01344 454602
🏢 Pop in and see us: Monday–Friday, 9am–1pm

Thank you to everyone who has supported our blister pack recycling scheme so far – and especially Binfield Environment Group for helping to make it happen! 💚♻️

⚠️The risk of wildfire in our open spaces is high ⚠️

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service has already responded to more than 250 fires in open spaces this year, and is asking residents to do their part in preventing fires in our parks and open spaces:

- Do not start bonfires
- Do not use disposable barbecues
- Do not use fireworks
- Dispose of your litter, especially ci******es, properly.

If the bins are full, please take it home with you. Even a small spark could quickly start a fire.

☀️Winkfield Parish Summer of Fun☀️
☀️Thursday 13th August☀️
☀️Due to the high temperatures will now run between 11am-1pm☀️
Please see the post below for further details.

We hope you can join them for a few hours!

Summer of Fun - UPDATE
Due to the high temperature forecast for Thursday, we have taken the decision to shorten the event. It will now run from 11 - 1pm. This means that the event will finish before the highest temperatures of the day and reduce the impact on all in attendance.
We need to advise that there is limited shelter at Lock's Ride so in keeping with Government advice, we would recommend that people wear hats, sunglasses and sunscreen and bring water with them. We can top up water at the Winkfield Parish Council gazebo.
All of the activities are being contacted with the new timeframe and are being asked to check their own measures for managing the heat. A couple of activities have cancelled and we need to share the possibility that others may cancel and the event may feel smaller -but we are still hoping for a fun event!
As always please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns at [email protected]
