💜 100 miles. 100 counselling hours. One amazing challenge. 👣

This September, one of our wonderful counsellors, Sarah, is taking on a 100-mile walking challenge to celebrate reaching an incredible milestone — 100 client hours as part of her counselling training.

Sarah has chosen to turn this personal achievement into something that will also support Youthline and the young people we work with. 💜

Every donation, however small, will help us continue providing a safe, supportive space where young people can talk and be heard.

Good luck, Sarah! We’ll be cheering you on every mile of the way. 👣💜

Starting a new school year can bring a LOT of “what ifs”… 💭
What if I get lost?
What if I’m late?
What if I don’t know anyone?
What if I get something wrong?

You don’t need to have it all figured out on day one. Most people are finding their feet too. 💛

And if the worries start to feel too much, you don’t have to deal with them on your own.

💜 Life has its ups and downs…

Some days you might feel like you’re on top of everything. Other days can feel like one big uphill climb – and sometimes it can change before you even know what happened.

There’s no “right” way for your journey to look. You don’t have to be okay all the time, and you don’t have to manage the difficult bits on your own.

Talking to someone can help you make sense of what you’re feeling and find your way through the ups, downs and unexpected loops. 🎢

💜 You’re only human. And that’s okay.

Youthline offers free counselling for young people aged 12–25.

🎒 Going back to school?

Whether you’re looking forward to it, feeling nervous, or somewhere in between, getting back into the school routine after the holidays can take a little time.

A few small things can make the transition feel easier – getting your sleep routine back on track, making time for things you enjoy, thinking about what you’re looking forward to and, importantly, talking to someone if you’re feeling worried. 💚

You don’t have to have everything figured out on the first day. Give yourself time to settle back in.

💜 You’re not alone. We’re here for you.

Save this for when school starts or share it with someone who might need it. 💚

Starting secondary school is a big change 🎒💚

It’s completely normal for young people to feel a mix of excitement, nerves, worry and uncertainty as September gets closer.

New school. New teachers. New routines. New friendships. That’s a lot to take in.

✨ Give yourself time to settle in
✨ Talk to someone if things are feeling overwhelming
✨ You’re not the only one feeling this way

If you’re struggling with the transition to secondary school, Youthline is here to listen and support you. 💚

Sometimes the biggest difference is simply having someone to talk to.

"It is a place where I can express my feelings and I can speak to someone about home and how I feel at school." 💙

Thank you to the young person who shared this feedback. Every voice matters.
