Did you know our Kiddies’ Cabin Nursery is 20 🎂

Last month we celebrated our 20th anniversary with a wonderful day bringing together children, families, and staff for a truly special occasion.

It was a chance celebrate everything that makes Kiddies’ Cabin so special, a caring community where children are encouraged to grow and thrive, families feel at home, and our dedicated staff continue to provide outstanding care every day.

A huge thank you to all our amazing members of staff at Kiddies' Cabin, here's to another 20 years. 🥳

Mercy Okeke has been nominated for ⭐

"Over the past year, you’ve grown into your role as an HCA with confidence, compassion, and professionalism. From those early days of learning the routines to now being a reliable and valued member of the team, your development has been clear to see. The way you’ve embraced feedback, supported your colleagues, and consistently delivered high-quality care reflects both your dedication and your character.

You’ve contributed to creating the calm, supportive environment you described, and that doesn’t happen by chance, it comes from people like you who show up each day with the right attitude and a genuine commitment to others.

On top of that, stepping into your role as an RCN representative is a significant achievement. It speaks volumes about the respect you’ve earned and your willingness to advocate for and support your p*ers.

Thank you for everything you’ve brought to the Oakwood Unit over the past year. Your journey so far has been impressive, and I’ve no doubt there’s even more to come."

We are proud to announce that Berkshire Healthcare has officially achieved Advanced Foundation Trust (AFT) status, becoming one of the first trusts in the country to receive this new national mark of excellence from NHS England.

Advanced Foundation Trust status recognises high-performing NHS organisations that deliver excellent care, strong leadership and financial sustainability, while improving outcomes for the communities they serve, giving us greater flexibility to make decisions locally and respond more quickly to the needs of our patients, staff and communities.

Chief Executive Julian Emms said:
“This recognition reflects the dedication, compassion and professionalism of our staff, the strength of our partnerships, and the trust our patients and communities place in us every day.

“Most importantly, this status gives us greater freedom to improve services, invest in innovation, and work even more closely with our partners and communities to improve health outcomes and tackle inequalities.”

A huge thank you to all our colleagues whose hard work and dedication made this achievement possible.👏
