Looking for a hands on career working with heavy vehicles and plant equipment?

Bradford Council is recruiting an Apprentice Heavy Goods Vehicle & Plant Mechanic to join our Fleet & Transport Services team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician apprenticeship, while working in a professional fleet workshop environment.
✅ 37 hours per week
✅ Up to 4 year apprenticeship
✅ Level 3 nationally recognised qualification
✅ 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays (pro rata)
📍 Based at Shearbridge Depot, Bradford (BD7 1PU)
You’ll train across all aspects of servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of HGVs, plant vehicles and specialist equipment, supporting an essential public service fleet.

Key requirements include:
✔️ GCSE Math's & English (A C / 4–9 or equivalent – assessment before interview)
✔️ Right to work in the UK and 3 years’ residency
✔️ Willingness to pass a UK driving test by the end of the apprenticeship
