Caro Blount-Shah | 24 September - 30 October 2016

Exploring the visual and sound heritage of textile and cloth production in the North of England, Caro Blount-Shah presents a new collection of cyanotype work, featuring a concertina print book with images developed from sound waves captured in recordings at a working textile mill.

The Flowers of The Universe | Ryoko Minamitani

"While we can enjoy the beauty of a myriad of flowers on earth, we can produce an infinite cornucopia of unseen flowers in the endless space of our imagination. These are ‘The Flowers of The Universe’."

Fine Artist Ryoko Minamitani explores the relationship between spirituality and artistic expression through meditative states. She attempts to transfer the true nature of the inner unconscious through mixed media painting and installation.

Valérie Wartelle - The Common Thread

An exhibition by fibre artist, Valérie Wartelle, whose main fascination lies within the manipulation of fibres and textiles as an expressive art form. Taking landscape as her inspiration, The Common Thread explores long-term interests in texture, colour, layering and process to create contemplative and ethereal artworks.

Showing a contemporary approach to the traditional craft technique of wet felting, these are highly textured felt pieces in which cloth is embedded, prints disguised, threads unraveled and details finely stitched.

Exhibition open until Sunday 27 March | open Tue to Sun, 12pm - 3pm
