Our tenants, our voice, our future.

Yesterday evening’s Customer Panel was a fantastic success, with a brilliant turnout, great engagement and lots of positive energy in the room.

One of the most powerful moments of the evening came from our tenants themselves, who asked for the group to be renamed from Customer Panel to Tenant Forum — a name that better reflects their voice, involvement and role in shaping our services.

It was truly heart-warming to see so many tenants keen to help, volunteer, share ideas and work with us to make a difference in their communities.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed so openly.

We would love more tenants to join the conversation. Your views matter, and together we can continue improving services and strengthening our communities.

To get involved, please contact Sayful Alam on 07483 396821.

Community, connection and shared understanding. 💛

Yesterday, residents from Manningham Housing Association’s Anchor Court Tenants Association and Leeds Jewish Housing Association came together for a wonderful community gathering focused on dialogue, friendship and cultural exchange.

The event brought together people from different faith and community backgrounds, including Jewish, Christian and Muslim residents, creating a warm space to learn from one another, share experiences and enjoy a lovely meal together.

The gathering began with a baptism prayer, as the event was held at a Baptist church, and continued with meaningful conversations, laughter and a real sense of togetherness.

A heartfelt thank you to Leeds Jewish Housing Association, our Anchor Court tenants, and everyone who took part and helped make the day so special.

This is what true community spirit looks like: building bridges, celebrating diversity and creating lasting friendships.

Together, we can make a real difference.

Pride Month is a time to celebrate but also a time to listen, learn and act.

LGBTQ+ people can face additional barriers when it comes to housing, safety and support. This can include discrimination, limited housing choices, fear of not being understood, and a lack of confidence in mainstream services — particularly for older LGBTQ+ people and those with multiple or overlapping identities.

At Manningham Housing Association, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, respected and valued in their home and community.

That is why we are proud to have signed the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge, developed by HouseProud and delivered by Stonewall Housing. The pledge is helping us strengthen visibility, improve staff awareness, review our policies, and create safer opportunities for LGBTQ+ residents to have their voices heard.

Inclusion is not just for Pride Month. It is part of who we are and how we serve our communities.

Today we started our series of customer service training sessions with Bobby Singh from BSA Training.

This is an important part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening the customer experience at Manningham Housing Association and ensuring our teams feel confident, supported and equipped when working with customers.

The programme will cover key areas including understanding our own communication styles, adapting our approach to different customer needs, managing challenging situations, learning from complaints, and identifying what excellent customer service looks like at MHA.

We will also be using our own customer feedback, complaint themes and performance data to help shape improvements and develop an MHA Customer Pledge.

A big thank you to Bobby Singh and BSA Training for supporting us on this journey, and to our colleagues for engaging so positively in today’s first session.

Great customer service starts with understanding our impact — and today was a brilliant first step.
