🌟 The B1 Girls at Springfield are on the move! 🌟
This incredible team is taking on a huge challenge — walking all the way from Top Odd in Wyke to Hebden Bridge to raise money for something truly meaningful.
The video only shows some of the team, but there are even more amazing staff members taking part behind the scenes, all coming together for one shared goal.
Every penny raised will go towards purchasing a brand‑new interactive activity table for our customers living with dementia. This table will bring joy, connection, games, music, and meaningful engagement to the people who will benefit from it every single day.
💜 If you’d like to support them, donations of any size are hugely appreciated.

The report highlighted the kindness and dedication of colleagues, alongside the person-centred care and support provided to residents every day.

As we experience a spell of warm weather, Asa Johnson, Service Improvement Manager at Anchor, shares some simple tips to help older people stay safe and comfortable during a heatwave ☀️

Asa’s advice includes:

• Wearing light, suitable clothing, along with a hat and sunglasses outdoors
• Seeking shade and applying sunscreen when spending time outside
• Keeping curtains and blinds closed in rooms exposed to direct sunlight
• Staying hydrated with cold drinks and cool treats such as ice cream, lollies, frozen smoothies or yoghurt

What an afternoon!
Our Dementia Afternoon Tea at Springfield was an absolute delight a cosy, welcoming space where families, friends, and our Dementia Specialist came together for real conversations, support, and plenty of cake. The turnout was fantastic and the atmosphere was even better.

We’ve got more sessions coming soon, and we’ll be sharing the workshop slides right here so you can still access all the information. Watch this space the learning continues!

Yesterday the BBC came in to film our lovely residents in the art class for Springfield Dementia Soaps for Dementia Week next week. As you know their artwork has been put on the packaging for the soaps. They are now for sale at Springfield and The Yorkshire Soap Company. This has been an amazing project and there is more to come! The original artwork is now being displayed in the gallery on B2 😍

Please see below the launch of our super soaps in partnership with The Yorkshire Soap Company - all of the scents have been chosen by Springfield residents and the packaging has been created from all their artwork. The original artwork is now on display on the ground floor corridor. These will soon be available to buy at Springfield - please can we ask you share this post to support us in raising as much funds for our garden project and our continued art classes. Our beautiful Vera celebrated her 101st birthday today! Yes 101! Her family came to visit and she received lots of flowers, presents and cards. A big happy birthday Vera 🥳💐🎁🎉🎂💝 xx

Yesterday it was Barbara's 89th birthday - the girls arranged a little tea party for her. She loved it and so did all the other ladies - what a lovely afternoon 🥳🎂☕️🫖 Happy birthday Barbara!

Today a few ladies came to Springfield from Ahmadiyya Muslim Women's Association for Bradford North to have a "natter" with our residents. It was a lovely occasion when everyone chatted about holidays, professions, food and sports, They presented us with a beautiful fruit hamper together with lots of goodies. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the morning. Thank you ladies 🙂
