We would like to say a massive congratulations to the staff on B1 who are actively raising money to buy a Dementia friendly interactive sensory table! After receiving a very generous donation from a resident's family who sadly passed away towards their plight they then did a car boot sale raising a fantastic £495.00 (thank you to everyone who donated goods/clothes to them). Well done girls for all your hard work. Their next mission is a sponsored walk from Wyke to Hebden Bridge on the 10th July! Sponsor forms are available in the home. If you see them along the way, give them a wave, say Hello and if possible, donate anything, large or small to them. Good luck ladies 👋🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️‍➡️💝

Today Brenda & Eileen celebrated their birthdays together. Happy 77th birthday Eileen and Happy 91st birthday Brenda - they received pressies, cards and flowers and of course the Springfield Choir sang to them 🤣🤣🤣 cakes to come 😜

🌟 The B1 Girls at Springfield are on the move! 🌟
This incredible team is taking on a huge challenge — walking all the way from Top Odd in Wyke to Hebden Bridge to raise money for something truly meaningful.
The video only shows some of the team, but there are even more amazing staff members taking part behind the scenes, all coming together for one shared goal.
Every penny raised will go towards purchasing a brand‑new interactive activity table for our customers living with dementia. This table will bring joy, connection, games, music, and meaningful engagement to the people who will benefit from it every single day.
💜 If you’d like to support them, donations of any size are hugely appreciated.
💛 Every pound helps.
💙 Every step they take is for our residents.
Let’s cheer them on and help make this wonderful project a reality for Springfield.

As we experience a spell of warm weather, Asa Johnson, Service Improvement Manager at Anchor, shares some simple tips to help older people stay safe and comfortable during a heatwave ☀️

Asa’s advice includes:

• Wearing light, suitable clothing, along with a hat and sunglasses outdoors
• Seeking shade and applying sunscreen when spending time outside
• Keeping curtains and blinds closed in rooms exposed to direct sunlight
• Staying hydrated with cold drinks and cool treats such as ice cream, lollies, frozen smoothies or yoghurt

What an afternoon!
Our Dementia Afternoon Tea at Springfield was an absolute delight a cosy, welcoming space where families, friends, and our Dementia Specialist came together for real conversations, support, and plenty of cake. The turnout was fantastic and the atmosphere was even better.
