Bridge

Bridge Bridge can find the right treatment program to help find a way forward for you or your loved one's needs.

The charity supports people in Bradford affected by substance use, homelessness, domestic violence, poor mental health, and people in contact with the criminal justice system. If you or someone you care for is dependent on alcohol or drugs and needs treatment, it is important to know that no single treatment approach is appropriate for all individuals.

“Come down, yeh! Bridge are having a BIG garden party”

Set up is well and truly under way. Not sure what will last longer - a game of Jenga or those cakes and strawberries 😅😍.

Thank you to all our truly kind and generous outreach staff for inspiring this afternoon, bringing people together and uplifting our .

A big thank you to Pete and Cath for donating a picnic bench to Bridge – bringing a place to sit, connect and spend time together. This is already helping to transform the safe, secure outdoor space for people we support at our Reconnect Centre on Salem Street.

The Bridge blue is looking incredible, thanks to Bradford Community RePaint and to Graham for bringing it to life.

We’ve got space for another bench too, if anyone has one they’d like to donate.

We couldn’t be prouder to release this ONE80 Video!

It captures what Bridge is all about – real people, real journeys - from your first conversation through to ongoing help. Watch and share, and help us reach more young people who need support to move forward

One80 is Bridge's support service for young people under 24 who want free, confidential and non‑judgemental support around drugs and alcohol.

One80 is Bridge’s support service for young people under 24 years who live in the Bradford District and are concerned about their use of drugs and or alcohol. https://thebridgeproject.org.uk/services/one80-young-persons-drug-and-alcohol-service/

A big thank you to one of our new Housing Support team members, who kindly shared this amazing African‑inspired food following their Eid celebrations yesterday.

It brought people together across the office — a real community moment, lifting spirits and sparking conversation (and a lot of appreciation for great food!).

Moments like this matter. They help bring our outreach and office teams closer, strengthening the connections that sit at the heart of our work at The Bridge Project Bradford.

Two bare feet. Two scorching peaks.

Dom took on the Three Peaks this weekend in 30°C heat — and with no shoes.

8 hours and two peaks later, he’s paused… but WOW the donations haven’t. Thank you supporters!

Take a moment to read his story whilst he waits for the temperatures to cool before the final push.

Dom for raising awareness of the work Bridge does in Bradford, working along side people affected by domestic abuse, homelessness, substance use, poor mental health and other forms of multiple disadvantage.

🧡 Eid Mubarak to our Bridge community 🧡

At Bridge, our trauma‑informed approach is rooted in the same values at the heart of Eid — compassion, dignity, reflection and supporting one another.

From housing and recovery support to working alongside people facing multiple disadvantage, we’re here with respect, commitment and care.

*Big shout‑out to one of our housing support outreach workers💙

Alongside her role at Bridge she is also an artist! Even in her own time, she’s thinking about the people we support and how to add value to their lives.

With support from Bradford 2025, she tested a range of Art and Wellbeing initiatives with groups of people supported at Bridge’s Reconnect Day Centre, leading to a thoughtfully curated Hope Box giveaway.

We can’t wait to show you how this is making a real difference.

Here’s some behind‑the‑scenes footage of staff from the Young People’s Drug and Alcohol Support Service (One80) and young actors creating a short, documentary‑style film about the work they do with young people across Bradford.

The 4min video launches on our website next week. Being on camera isn’t easy, but they all did a fantastic job bringing this work to life.
