Bradwell Fire Station
Last week was an incredibly busy one for our crews.
We spent a lot of time in Glossop responding to the major incident at Tintwistle, which is still ongoing, while also tackling another woodland fire near Charlesworth that was caused by a BBQ.
With both incidents happening at the same time, our resources across Derbyshire were stretched. Thanks to the dedication and teamwork we were able to keep on top of these challenging incidents.
We also want to say a huge thank you to the fire and rescue services from across the UK who came to help sDerbyshire Fire & Rescue Service in this demanding period. Your assistance and teamwork were greatly appreciated. 💪🏼🫶🏽👏🏻
On Tuesday, Bradwell Crew also attended Bakewell Fire Station to say farewell to Alison after an incredible 30 years of service.
Alison has been an outstanding Watch Manager and a true inspiration to so many across Derbyshire . She will be greatly missed by colleagues and friends alike.
Congratulations on a remarkable career, Alison. Thank you for your dedication and service, and we wish you a long, happy and well-deserved retirement. 🥂🚒
