Please find below information regarding an online training session run by Essex Sexual Health Service (ESHS) focused on increasing awareness and understanding of online child sexual abuse and exploitation. Technology and online spaces are an important part of young people's lives. This session will explore how these spaces can be used to facilitate sexual abuse, grooming and exploitation, as well as the changing risks children and young people may experience online. The session will also consider the important role parents and carers have in creating open, supportive conversations with young people, and how these conversations can help reduce harm and encourage young people to seek support when they need it.
Parents and carers will leave with up-to-date information, increased awareness and clear guidance on supporting young people to navigate relationships and online spaces more safely.
