*Bridge & Flitch Way Closure*

Essex Highways have enacted a closure following a bridge inspection. The closure is at the bridge just to the west of the former station house at Felsted and Flitch Green. It has been closed for public safety reasons, please respect the closure and find an alternative route. Easiest pedestrian route is via Flitch Green. More info to follow next week.

Please see details below of a closure on the Flitch Way, Felsted that goes live today. Phase one is working on the eastern side of Braintree Rd bridge adjacent to Bannister Green Halt while phase 2 is working west from there.

It is planned to reopen for the festive holiday period then close again.

If Hedgehogs eat pumpkin it can upset their digestion, causing diarrhoea, which can result in dehydration. In serious causes, it can be fatal. Even if it’s not, a weakened hedgehog can’t hunt properly for food, so may not put enough weight on to survive hibernation over the winter. Nature Needs Us

Be careful what you do with any discarded pumpkins, whole pumpkin is no longer in use you can again add to compost, discard with food waste or take to a farm, I’m sure they would welcome them for their animals.

Just a reminder that we will be closing sections of the Flitch Way between Rayne and Braintree from Monday 3rd July to carry out tree safety work. There will be no through access while we are working to ensure our and public safety.
