Brandesburton Parish Council kindly reminds all residents, visitors and their children, to be respectful of the Playpark, use the litter bins provided for all litter, and refrain from entering the private land behind the metal railings. We are aware of a missing railing, which will be replaced in the next couple of weeks.
If you see any suspicious or antisocial activity, including the use of electric scooters or motorcycles, please report this to Humberside Police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
CCTV is in operation at the Playpark and footage can be retrieved by Humberside Police, where necessary. Thank you.

Free bus travel for kids and discount journeys for 16 to 19-year-olds this summer
Travelling by bus across the East Riding and Hull this summer will be free for children, with the region’s two bus operators both signing up to the Government’s ‘Great British Summer Savings Scheme’.

The Mayor of Hull and East Yorkshire has also gone a step further and funded a 50% discount on travel for anyone aged 16 to 19 on services provided by Stagecoach East Midlands and East Yorkshire Buses.

Until Monday, 31 August 2026, every child aged five to 15, boarding a bus in East Yorkshire, will travel for free, while anyone aged 16 to 19 will travel at half price by simply asking for a ‘Mayor’s Fares’ ticket.

New easy pay system on East Yorkshire Buses

A new easier way to pay for fares is being introduced on buses in the East Riding, thanks in part to council funding.

East Yorkshire Buses has installed the Tap On, Tap Off technology to its entire fleet of buses. You simply tap your contactless card, smartphone or smartwatch with pay against the driver's ticket machine when you board, then tap off against a reader fitted near the exit door as you get off. There is no need to tell the driver where you are travelling to or what ticket you want.
