Brandon - Appeal after dangerous driving incident
Police are appealing for witnesses to a an incident of dangerous driving that took place in Brandon.
It happened on Saturday 8 October at just after 7pm in the evening where police received a report of a vehicle being driven in an anti-social manner on Wimbledon Avenue. A short while later officers received a further report of a van being driven at a group of people. The van also struck a number of stationary vehicles in the incident. No-one was seriously hurt.
A 30 year old male was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle dangerously, possession of an offensive weapon and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent. He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and was subsequently released under investigation, pending further enquiries
Officers believe there will have been numerous witnesses to the incidents and ask them to come forward. Additionally, anyone with any dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident should contact the police quoting investigation reference: 37/64791/22
