๐Ÿ๏ธ ๐Ÿšจ Bikers Beware ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ๏ธ

It's come to our attention that thieves are attending bike events, such as bike nights, and placing tracking devices on unattended motorbikes.

These devices allow offenders to locate where bikes are kept and later steal them.

Please stay alert and aware of who is around your bike.

Regularly check your bike for anything unusual or out of place.

There is software you can get which alerts you when you are near a tracker.

If you attend a bike night, try to park where you can clearly see your bike at all times.

Most importantly, remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour around your bike or others.

Together, we can help prevent motorbike theft in our community.

๐Ÿš” Community Safety Advice from the NH22 beat ๐Ÿš”
Hi everyone ๐Ÿ‘‹,
just a quick message from your local beat team to help keep our community safe and reduce the risk of burglary ๐Ÿก๐Ÿ”’
Weโ€™ve recently seen a slight increase in opportunistic thefts, so here are a few simple but effective steps you can take:
๐Ÿ” Lock it up โ€“ Always lock your doors and windows, even if youโ€™re just popping out for a few minutes.
๐Ÿ’ก Lights on timers โ€“ Use timers or smart bulbs to give the impression someone is home when youโ€™re out.
๐Ÿ“ฆ Keep valuables out of sight โ€“ Donโ€™t leave items like laptops, keys, or handbags visible through windows.
๐Ÿš— Secure your vehicles โ€“ Lock your car and donโ€™t leave keys near the front door where they can be accessed through letterboxes.
๐Ÿ‘€ Look out for each other โ€“ If something doesnโ€™t feel right, trust your instincts and report it.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Report suspicious activity:
Call 999 if a crime is in progress
Call 101 for non-emergencies
Or report online via your local police website

Stay safe,

Hi all ,
Itโ€™s been another busy week trying to keep things ticking over (and occasionally unticking what shouldnโ€™t be ticking ):

High-vis patrols on Queens Drive & Packhorse Drive, Enderby following reports of ASB and off-road motorbikes โ€“ because pavements arenโ€™t racetracks.

Called to Littlethorpe for a neighbour dispute and reports of a fire โ€“ our BEAT team will be picking this up for further enquiries.

Patrols at Narborough Park & Memorial Park (Council Offices) after recent ASB concerns โ€“ visible presence = subtle reminder weโ€™re around.

Patrols around the Narborough estate area re dirt bikes and youths on Carlton park causing ASB .

Lots of other local enquires across New Lubbesthorpe, and Fosse park.

Progressed an assault investigation, speaking with the victimโ€™s family to reassure them around the proactive work ongoing.

๐Ÿšจ The shift also kept us on our toes:
๐Ÿ”น Assisted colleagues with a Grade 1 domestic incident involving a male on his wedding dayโ€ฆ safe to say โ€œfor better or worseโ€ wasnโ€™t meant to start like that.
๐Ÿ”น Dispersed a party that got a little too lively, restoring peace (and likely a few neighboursโ€™ sleep schedules).

๐Ÿ‘€ As always โ€“ what you report really does shape what we do.

๐Ÿ’ฌ You said, we did. We turned up. We sorted it. Then we carried on.

Stay safe all

Over the last few days PCSOs 6641 Calum and 6622 Vicki have been working with partner agencies.

On Thursday, we completed a patch walk with Places for People Housing on Annas Way ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜๏ธ, looking at ways to deal with ongoing anti-social behaviour.

Yesterday, alongside .org.uk ๐Ÿค, weโ€™ve carried out several home visits linked to anti-social behaviour ๐Ÿ , giving advice and taking follow-up action where needed.

We have written a further six warning letters in relation to continued anti-social behaviour in Whetstone. These will be delivered alongside visits to parents over the coming days ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ.

We followed up on a report of criminal damage at Glen Parva Library ๐Ÿ“š, CCTV has been collected ๐ŸŽฅ and suspects are being identified ๐Ÿ”.

If you see us out, feel free to stop and have a chat ๐Ÿ‘‹

Good afternoon all!

The days are getting warmer, make sure you keep your windows and doors shut when you are out. Don't give burglars a chance!

Want to keep your property more secure? Follow some of the tips below:

*Utilise a burglar alarm.
*Utilise windows shock alarms.
*Utilise light timers.
*Utilise security lights.
*Install a doorbell cam and/or CCTV.
*Keep valuables in a safe and hide the safe well.
*Restrict access to the back of your property.
*Keep your car keys safe and put them in a faraday bag/pouch/box if your car uses keyless entry.

On the subject of cars consider the following:

*Keeping your car in a locked garage.
*Utilising a steering lock.
*Utilising wheel clamps.
*Installing a tracking device. In some cases some insurers will give you a discount if you have one installed.
*Installing bollards at the end of your driveway.

I hope some of these tips help keep you safe and your property and vehicle more secure!

PC 904 Jon reporting from the NH24 beat of Sapcote, Huncote, Stoney Stanton, Sharnford, Elmesthorpe, Thurlaston and Croft. Itโ€™s been a while since my last post however myself and PCSO Danny that make up the team and together we post regularly.

Crime on the beat this month is on par with last month although slightly less and less compared to that of other beats. No specific alerts or prevention advice to give at this time however given the change in weather I would like to say a few words relating to the national phenomena of E-bikes, and off-road motor bikes. With the change in weather, we will inevitably see an increase in their use for ASB and in crime. Having recently interacted with one I speak from personal experience. Legal E-bikes are peddle assisted, power restricted to 25w or less and with an easily identifiable manufactures information plate. Many on the roads are illegal. This explains the non-descripted black clothing and balaclava. The realities are, you have an accident with one. You Pay! You have an accident caused by one You Pay! Illegal bikes, E-bikes and stolen bikes present a challenge and cost to the public and police. People involved in this crime may live next door. Police relay on information from the public to more effectively deal with this crime. You can report suspicions on 101, online or Crimestoppers. Letโ€™s work together to keep people safe.

On a much lighter note, I attended the Croft Walking Market on the very hot Saturday just gone. Whilst mainly due to the beat being so large I usually use a car I was determined to attend the event on foot and do as the title suggests and walk the event. On reflection the day appeared a great success. The weather was perfect and I was amazed at how nice the people of views of Croft are. Thank you for the many offers of drinks some of which I accepted. I look forward to seeing you at the next one.

S/Sgt Tom and SC Tom have been out and about covering the Hinckley and Blaby area for the Tuesday evening shift.

๐Ÿš›๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿšง We attended an RTC on the A5 at Hinckley where an HGV struck the train bridge. Road closures were in place for some time while Network Rail carried out structural assessments and recovery teams removed the vehicle and debris. Thank you for your patience during the disruption.

The driver was reported for driving without due care and attention and the collision has been sent for further investigation.

Thank you to LFRS for their assistance in removing debris that had become lodged underneath the bridge. Always putting those ladders to good use.

๐Ÿš—๐Ÿš“ The rest of the shift was spent completing ASB patrols across several locations where we have had ongoing reports of antiโ€‘social use of vehicles. A number of vehicles were stop checked and drivers engaged with regarding the importance of safe and considerate driving.

We later attended similar reports at Shaw Lane, Markfield where a driver was issued with a Section 59 warning for their manner of driving.

Thatโ€™s all from us for tonight!
