Welcoming the next generation to Hydrus Group

We’re delighted to welcome three new apprentices to Hydrus Group as they begin their careers with us.

Joining us this year are Riley Hall, Euan Jones and Rhys Dean.

🔧 Riley and Rhys have joined our Fabrication division

⚙️ Euan has joined our Test & Assembly department

Our apprenticeship programme gives young people the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a real working environment, while continuing their education and working towards external qualifications at college.

Supporting and developing the younger generation is something we’re proud to be committed to at Hydrus Group. This year’s intake brings the total number of apprentices we have supported to 10 over the past five years.

It’s an important investment in both our people and the future of our industry, giving young talent the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues, develop practical skills and build a strong foundation for their careers.

We’re recruiting at Hydrus Group.

Due to recent project wins and ongoing work, we’re looking for experienced professionals to join our team at our HQ in Brechin, with five full-time positions available:

🔧 3 × Platers / Fabricators
Fabrication of medium to heavy steel structures.

⚙️ 2 × Coded Welders
Core wire welding.

We’re looking for candidates with Oil & Gas industry experience and a strong background working with medium to heavy steel structures.

All positions offer:
🔹Full-time employment
🔹Immediate start
🔹Pay dependent on experience

At Hydrus Group, we provide comprehensive Test & Assembly capabilities to support clients with the assembly, integration and testing of complex equipment and systems.

Our experienced team and dedicated facilities enable us to support projects from individual equipment packages through to larger, complex systems, helping ensure equipment is fully assembled, tested and ready for operation prior to offshore mobilisation.

System Integration Testing (SIT)
FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing)
Large-scale testing and commissioning
Inspection, repair and refurbishment
Internal and external test facilities

Our dedicated facilities and experienced workforce provide the flexibility to support challenging projects, with our external test site capable of accommodating loads of up to 200 tonnes and supporting multiple commissioning activities in parallel.

We work closely with our clients to deliver safe, efficient and reliable solutions, from initial assembly through to testing and commissioning.

A lovely Saturday spent together. ☀️

Some of the Hydrus Group team enjoyed an informal get-together in Dundee, with some great food, drinks and sunshine.

It was a lovely opportunity to spend time together outside of our usual working environment, get to know one another better and reflect on what has been a particularly busy and successful period for the company.

Thank you to everyone for your continued hard work and commitment. It was great to take some time to celebrate our successes together, and we look forward to what’s ahead.
