Workout for Tate: A Circuit, A Cause, A Stronger Future 🧡
Many of you will recognise little Tate and his family as familiar faces around our community. Tate has been a regular at our Pram Fit sessions with his mum since he was discharged from the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at six weeks old, while his dad and nan are also valued Halo members. Today, we are sharing their story and reaching out on their behalf.
Born on 25th March 2024, Tate faced breathing difficulties right away and was taken straight to SCBU. Alongside breathing struggles, feeding difficulties, talipes, and undescended te**es, Tate underwent nearly five long weeks of intensive testing before receiving a diagnosis of Prader-Willi Syndrome, a complex, rare genetic condition.
To give Tate the best possible care, his family is funding private physiotherapy and hydrotherapy to support his development. He is now also battling scoliosis, with back bracing planned for next month. If he is unable to tolerate the brace, he will require specialist care at Great Ormond Street Hospital. With appointments already spread across six different hospitals, the travel and medical costs continue to add up for his family.
We want to surround Tate and his family with the full support of our Halo community. Here is how you can get involved and help make a difference:
