FLASH REPORT: Event #308 Severn Valley Country parkrun

With the sun out and starting to warm the chilly autumn air, Run Director Paul Robinson welcomed 121 park runners and thanked 18 volunteers this morning.

It was a superb morning for parkrun, which can only happen with the support of our amazing volunteers. So a big shout out to all who put their hand up this week to volunteer instead of running.

Don’t forget, if you haven’t volunteered for a while we have a board up in the briefing area for you to pop your name down for upcoming weeks. If you’d like to give it a go and are not sure, chat to any one of team in high vis on the day.

You can even pop a comment on this post, or send an email to:

All roles are easy, there is on the job training and it’s so rewarding. See you soon !

The roster has almost filled up but we could still do with another 2-3 marshals to help guide and encourage our participants.

No experience required!!!

Run Director Tony Sharpe welcomed 118 park runners and thanked 24 volunteers at this mornings briefing.

What a great morning for parkrun with near perfect conditions. A light mist rising from the river and the sun starting to burn through as Timekeepers Gillian and Jason gave the 3-2-1 GO.

In celebration of parkrun’s 22nd birthday, there were tutu’s everywhere… well, three of us anyway! Smiles galore at the finish line, and yet again PB after PB.

Photos will be uploaded over the weekend, so watch this space.

We still need a couple more marshals to direct runners for tomorrow’s parkrun, particularly to guide our runners and walkers around the forest loop.
